...runs this is the last before reboot or halt is called. If I run umount /mnt/net before I shutdown then it unmounts fine, and shutdown works fine as well. I have the smb daemons being launched by inetd, which is launched by init. The system is using devfs I only installed the kernel and samba, is it necissary to patch the kernel or perhaps mount/umount to use 2.2.0 because I have another system similarly set up (except without devfs) that's using samba 2.0.7 and it doesn't have this problem.
