Dispersion parameter in Neg Bin GLM
Hi, Can someone tell me if it is possible to set the dispersion parameter constant when fitting a negative binomial glm in R? I've looked at the documentation and can't find the appropriate argument to pass. In STATA I can type: nbreg depvar [indepvar...], offset(offset) dispersion(constant). Thank you [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

Longitudinal negative binomial regression - robust sandwich estimator standard errors
...in that you can produce robust standard errors using sandwich estimators, to control for the fact there is a correlation structure within each subjects set of visits. This function is reasonably straight forward, however I'm trying to find something similar in R. http://www.stata.com/help.cgi?nbreg http://www.stata.com/help.cgi?vce_option I'll admit I'm not all that familiar with the inner workings of these functions but am learning about them. glm.nb gives the same coefficients as nbreg in stata which is reassuring, but I haven't yet found the same adjustment that vce is doing....

Negative Binomial Model
Hello, I am trying to run a negative binomial regression model in R and can't get the standard errors to match the output I get from the Stata nbreg command. I've tried a few different options but haven't had much luck. The closest I've found is: gamlss(formula, family = NBI, sigma.formula = ~ 1,data=dataframe) ...But this is still a little off most of the time and pretty far off at other times (compared with the Stata output). Th...

Comparing Negative Binomial Regression in Stata and R. Constants differ?
...lts that they report. In the Stata output, they report alpha, same as 1/theta from the R glm.nb output. Except for minor differences in standard errors, only the intercept estimates markedly differ. Duda_Observed vs Predicted
