using pdMAT in the lme function?
Hello. I want to specify a diagonal structure for the covariance matrix
of random effects in the lme() function.
Here is the call before I specify a diagonal structure:
> fit2<-lme(Ln.rgr~I(Ln.nar-log(0.0011)),data=meta.analysis,
+ random=~1+I(Ln.nar-log(0.0011)|STUDY.CODE,na.action=na.omit)
and this works fine. Now, I want to fix the covariance between the
between-groups slopes and intercepts to zero. I try do do this using
the pdDiag command as follows, but it does not work:

delivery agent in 1.0?
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
Hi :)
Is there any plan to include delivery agent in 1.x?
I would be very happy, if there would be lmtp delivery agent included
with dovecot 1.x... This would make creating large mailsystem cluster
creation very simple + indexes would be always up2date.

dear members,
I am using arfima() from forecast package to model a time series. The following is the code:

Error in .fdcov(x, fdf$d, h, nar = nar, nma = nma, hess = hess, fdf.work = fdf$w) :

I tried viewing .fdcov() with the following code:
View(environment(fracdiff)$.fdcov)
but I see no stop() with the above mentioned error message.
Can you please help?

Generic question about PBX PRI installs
Hi all,
We we send a server out to a customer with a PRI card I basically
tell the PBX person that we want national, NI2, b8zs, D channel is on 24,
and we are the CPE and your the NET and us a cross over cable.
Allow extensions, local calls and long distance.
on the surface I would have thought this would be enough for them to
connect the digium card to the PBX and get calls working.

Bug report for fracdiff
I was sniffing in the fracdiff library (this is for fractionally integrated
ARMA processes; Haslett and Raftery 1989).
The documentation suggests that one tries the following simple example:
library(fracdiff)
ts.test <- fracdiff.sim( 5000, ar = .2, ma = -.4, d = .3)
fracdiff( ts.test$series, nar = length(ts.test$ar), nma = length(ts.test$ma))
When I run this, I get the following error:
R --vanilla < demo.R > demo.out

residuals from a fractional arima model and other questions
...object, how do I calculate the residuals? (Please forgive me if this is totally obvious which I'm sure it may be. Is it just a matter of expanding out the (1-L)^d term?)
2. I don't have access to the cited Haslett & Raftery (1989) paper, but could someone explain to me the little cautionary note in the help page stating that "nar and nma should not be too large (say < 10) to avoid degeneracy in the model." I see that a different implementation of the FARIMA procedure in Splus could lead to an explosive, ie. non-stationary model when it's used to fit a log volatility...

forecast using arfima
Hello!
I used the function fracdiff(dn, nar=1, nma=1) and got the values of d, ar
and ma coefficients.
Also another coefficients were get under fdGPH, fdSperio.
How could I get the forecasts in these models?
Thank you very much

Please can anyone suggest the best way to go about this, and also the places where I can find examples of DeSolve C compiled code.

Cyrus SASL 2 fixes for MySQL
...a few
patches which seem to work well for me.
Please see: http://people.freebsd.org/~bms/cyrus-sasl-improvements.diff
The features are: improved debugging messages, optional use of an SSL
transport, and the ability to use MD5 hashes with MySQL or other auxprop
plugins.
Credit is due to Branko Gr?nar <bfg@noviforum.si> for the last two features.
I have tidied there to make a cleaner diff for 2.1.15.
At the moment this is a diff which can be applied to the cyrus-sasl2 port.
If there's further interest I'll roll the patches into the port itself with
toggle switches.
