[Bug 1457] writefd_unbuffered failed to write
https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1457 ------- Additional Comments From mwang@unixlabplus.com 2004-06-13 12:05 ------- The same problem is duplicated on AIX 5.2 with current patch level 02. It appears that the problem occurs for large files. In the test shown below, it is 4.6GB. This happens for rsync 2.5.4 using the IBM build: http://www-1.ibm.com/servers/aix/products/a...

question regarding Asterisk. X-Lite, and firewall
...send voice too. Obviously, the IP is a private IP, hence, is not reachable. How do I change configuration of Asterisk so that phone B can use aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd as RTP destination, instead of the private IP address? By the way, both directions use UDP protocol. timestamp on symlink
rsync does not sync the timestamp on symlink (Solaris 8). It is probablly due to the limitation of Unix implementation of symlink, but I would like to know why rsync/Unix does not do this, and what we can do about it. Is the conclusion that "rsync syncs everything except the timestamp on symlink"? Why do I need timestamp on symlink? Supposed something stopped working because something

randomized block design and two-way factorial design
I am still a little unclear in the difference between randomized block design and two-way factorial design after consulting a few books, including John Rice Mathematical Statistics and Data Analysis. Both put observations in cells corresponding to two factors of many levels. Both use the same computer program to analyze data. It seems that randomized block design can have only one observation

glm: family=exponential() or family=Gamma(alpha=1)?
In glm, is there a way to specify the family to be exponential, or Gamma but with alpha=1? This is required by Dobson Exercise 4.3d, page 48. But without specifying alpha=1, the asnwer is the same as in the book. If reply to the list, please cc me a copy. deriv3 example on Venables/Ripley page 263
What does it require to run the example on page 263 of Venables/Ripley book using R 1.3.0? I got the following error and I have no clue how to correct it. Thank you very much. (If you reply to the list, please send a copy to me.) > lmix2 <- deriv3( + ~ -log(p*dnorm((x-u1)/s1)/s1 + (1-p)*dnorm((x-u2)/s2)/s2), + c("p", "u1", "s1", "u2",

R-1.2.0 and command recall/edit
For R-1.1.1 on Solaris 7, I can use command line recall/edit by using "Control-P", etc. But R-1.2.0 on Solaris 8, I can not. Is this because the R version or Solaris version? Is there a vi mode for command recall/edit, i.e. Esc-P, etc. PS: I hate to ask questions that has been asked before, but mailing list archive is until 08/28/2000. Thanks.
