For or Against
...eans trying to provide precisely the resource that is needed for each individual. My way of expressing that value might be a bit secular for some people. For Christians, there is the commandment to "love your neighbor as yourself." The word "commandment" is also meaningful to Muslims; the word "Muslim" means "one who submits to the will of Allah." While Muslims regard Jesus as a great prophet, there is no exact verse saying "love your neighbor as yourself" within the Quran. Help required
Hi Sadaf, Out of curiosity, what sorts of things have you tried to fix this? For example, after playing around with this a bit, if I remove your "eps" parameter from your `ranges` list, it works. Perhaps you should try tweaking the values you pick for your parameters. You don't even have to put it in the `tune` function to get an idea of the ranges you should use: R>

speeding up likelihood computation
R Users: I am trying to estimate a model of fertility behaviour using birth history data with maximum likelihood. My code works but is extremely slow (because of several for loops and my programming inefficiencies); when I use the genetic algorithm to optimize the likelihood function, it takes several days to complete (on a machine with Intel Core 2 processor [2.66GHz] and 2.99 GB RAM). The dependent variable is: Rexp. I tried using the svm.tune function to tune the hyper parameters: gamma, epsilon and C. I am getting the following error message: Error in predict.svm(ret, xhold,
