Can anyone provide any pointers as to what the problem is and potential
places I should look to fix it?
Thanks and best regards,

New to rails
Hi,
I''m 8+ hours reading and working through the book "Agile Web Development".
My brain is now mush :)
I have some php experience but that about the extent of my programming
experience.
Anyway, I do have a question - for those who know the book or those who
don''t -
The product table has a column for an image link ..i.e.
/images/something.gif

I seem to be doing Dcv wrong
...per introduced a distance measure Dcv for clustering.
I have _not_ read this paper myself, and do not as yet have access
to a copy of it, but I'm trying to make sense of another paper
which criticises it on the grounds that it does rather badly on both
simulated data and one real data set (the Mushroom data set).
Call this other paper (2).
According to (2) (which is not yet published or I'd cite it),
-1 T
Dcv(x,y) = sqrt( Dh(x,y).C .Dh(x,y) )
where
x and y are rows of the same data frame,
Dh(x,y) = ifelse(x == y, 0, 1) (so that sum(Dh(x,...

[LLVMdev] metadata syntax
...ch type can alias which other?
I fear that metadata, being extremely flexible, is going to end up being
used for a gazillion different things simply because it's the easy solution
(it's already there), not because it's the right solution, resulting in a
big pile of ill-defined metadata mush floating around in the IR. Any
thoughts on how to avoid that?
Ciao,
Duncan.

aggregate vs tapply; is there a middle ground?
...in an
awkward 4-dimensional array that takes me another 10 lines of
inefficient code to turn into a 2D data.frame.
Is there a way to directly do this calculation INCLUDING results for
empty subsets, and still obtain a 2D array, matrix, or data.frame? OR
alternatively is there a simple way to mush the 4D result from the
tapply into a 2D matrix/data.frame?
thanks very much in advance for any help!

Testing Explain Logger Output
Any quick tips?
I''ve been getting the SQL Server adapter up to passing for 3.2 and I wanted to test our explain printer. It will be very much like mysql2''s printer. But I think my brain is mush and my meta-fu weak at the moment and I need some help. I tried stubbing ActiveRecord::Base.logger.warn but to no avail. Any thoughts?

ggplot facet spacing, wrapping
...each other at the bottom/top of each.
for example, try:
qplot(x, y, data = data.frame(x = 1:10, y = 1:10, size = 1:10), facets =
size ~ ., size = size) + scale_x_continuous(breaks = 1:10) +
scale_y_continuous(limits = c(0,10))
and notice the 10's and the 0's on the respective Y axes are mushing each
other. Is there a way to adjust the spacing of facets in a faceted plot?
Likewise, what about wrapping, so that if I had say 20 or 30 facets it would
make a grid of facets rather than 30 in a column (or in a row).
thanks,
mike

Column-mean-values for targeted rows
...; see 3 ways to get through the problem:
- to reformulate the function to gain efficiency;
- to establish a C-routine (for example), where loops are more "speedy", and then interfacing with R;
- to find some function/ package that already do that.
Can anybody illuminate my way here,
Mush thanks,

samba - what happens if I say local master = No for samba 3
...ki...
What happens if I selected (NO) in my samba3 config file ( local master = No
) and I Installed and booted a second server with samba4 on it... Will they
be able to run parallel together?
What I then do is to do a PC migration (one by one) onto the new server?
60 users are not that mush if there is no downtime. I can set out a week or
two and transfer the user's data to the new server... Join their PC's to the
new domain controller etc...
Or do you guys think we should rather follow the Wiki on migrations?
Thanks

GitHub anyone?
...y that important? Or are we just used to the convenience?
If the Clang build number is a tuple (cfe-number, llvm-number) instead
of a single number, how horrible is that really? If you consider what
an out-of-tree front end probably does, it's exactly the same thing.
(I admit that locally we mush cfe+llvm into a single branch and do the
rev-list count to get a single number. But that's more for our own
convenience than anything else.)

ssh_exchange_identification
...started giving me this error "ssh_exchange_identification: Connection closed by remote host" when I try to log into the machine even when I am on the machine and try to ssh localhost it gives me the same message. I have read every FAQ I could find on the net but all I can find is that you mush put "ssd:all" in the hosts.allow in the etc directory. OpenBSD does not have a hosts.allow or a hosts.deny in the etc directory. I ran ssh -v localhost and this is what I got...

Differences in masq from 1.4 -> 2.0?
...line of masq used to provided masq for 139.142.66.4, but now it
simply routes it through when permitted in rules, since this IP is routable.
Of course, the rest are not, so they don''t go anywhere...
Is there a quick fix to this? I know, I should RTFM, but I tried that, and my
brain is mush right now due to lack of sleep/too much coffee. :-(
Thx.

migrating from samba 3 to samba 4
...#39;s?
What I mean by profiles is the local profile of the user on the local PC...
not roaming profiles... I know by experience that if something happens to
samba3's use account then it messes up the local profile on the PC and I am
trying to avoid this when I migrate to samba4
Any help mush appreciated.
Thank you
