grid Graphics by Paul Murrell
Dear All, I've been trying to format a plot output using par() with mfrow, fin, mai, etc and basically it's proving to be a pain. I searched on google and found that Paul Murrell had written a grid Graphics program which seems perfect. However, when I try and use say viewport() I just get a function not found error. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong please? Thank-you

getGraphicsEvent() alternative for cairo graphics device?
Hi Just taking a bit more of a look at this today (currently fixated on making sure I can build some good regression tests). The best thing you can do is to keep reminding me like this :) Paul On 09/12/16 11:19, frederik at ofb.net wrote: > Hi Paul, > > Thanks for your efforts. getGraphicsEvent() alternative for cairo graphics device?
Hi The current status is that I am keen for people to contribute some testing code (see https://bugs.r-project.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=16951) There were also some getGraphicsEvent() changes/fixes suggested by Richard Bodewits (cc'ed), for which I am also seeking test code. Hi Paul, No problem. Is it best if I post examples to the bug report 16951? multiple providers and tcrules without highmarks
I was previously using multiple providers on my "real linux" gateway which had a kernel that supported high marks and I was policy routing in tcrules. I''ve now moved to openwrt where their kernel apparently does not have high marks. I want to continue to be able to have multiple providers and a) policy route between them and b) be able to set marks for other things like

Plotmath on Fedora 31 broken with with pango >= 1.44 - workarounds?
Hi The R branch ... https://svn.r-project.org/R/branches/R-symfam/ ... is now set up so that it works "out of the box" on Fedora by setting the default to be 'symbolfamily=cairoSymbolFont(family, usePUA=FALSE)' when grSoftVersion()["pango"] is greater than "1.44". This means that on Fedora 31 (at least on the Docker container I am testing on)

Plotmath on Fedora 31 broken with with pango >= 1.44 - workarounds?
Paul et al, I will try to do this tonight or tomorrow, though it will not be built with th system tools because I have yet to get that tto work locally (spent a good chunk of this morning trying). I will send a separate messaage regarding those difficulties as well so that we can at least confirm that they are due to a malconfiguration on my part. Best, ~G On Tue, Apr 7, 2020 at 7:25 PM Paul

getGraphicsEvent() alternative for cairo graphics device?
Hi Paul, Thanks for keeping me posted and letting me know what I should do. Are there regression tests for other graphics functions in R? To me that sounds a bit unnecessary. I think you get more testing from people who use R; and having a good turnaround for applying patches (some have been waiting 5 years) would invite better participation. Thank you, Frederick On Fri, Dec 09, 2016 at
