multihost master.passwd sync
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Just wondered if anyone had any suggestions about syncing up master.passwd files between multiple machines that didn't involve allowing root login remotely? The users need to be able to log in remotely and own files on the different machines. ~~ Andy Harrison ah##@httpsite.com ICQ: 123472 AIM/Y!: AHinMaine [full headers for details] -----BEGIN PGP

Voicemail2
Asterisk Users: I've been working hard on app_voicemail2 which is an enhanced scalability version of app_voicemail. Specifically, its features are: * Highly improved internal architecture (maybe someone else can actually code on it) * Foot print for getting mailboxes from DB (for Vonage) * Segmentable mailboxes, allowing you to truly multihost voicemail for multiple companies

GFS performance issue
Two web servers, both virtualized with CentOS Xen servers as host (residing on two different physical servers). GFS used to store home directories containing web document roots. Shared block device used by GFS is an ISCSI target with the ISCSI initiator residing on the Dom-0, and presented to Dom-U webservers as drives. Also, providing a second shared block device for quorum disk. If I hit the

fs quota backend bug
Hi, I maintain postfix mailserver with sudo enabled dovecot LDA using multiple uids. I want to enforce quotas per-unix-user (which can have multiple domains with multiple emails set up using postfixadmin), so I have set up a FS quota backend with imap_quota plugin. Unfortunately, the quota appears to work (when i disable chrooting) according to dovecot-info.log, but doesn't send anything over

...ant to allow has to pass to the router and then be sent back out the same network interface, you've actually doubled the amount of traffic on your LAN. Having multiple subnets on a single broadcast domain can be an interesting, inexpensive way to experiment with access control or simulate multihosting, but you don't want to do it for any longer than is necessary for experimental purposes.

v2.0.9 -segfault in lib21_fts_solr_plugin.so (G.Nau)
Interesting since imap_acl also makes dovecot segfault. Maybe there is a problem in the way Dovecot loads plugins? The new channel will have configurations for "trunks", "services" and "phones". It will be more domain-focused to support multihosting better. It will have a proper SIP state machine so we can handle TCP and TLS alongside UDP. It will have STUN support, like the current Google talk channel. And a lot of other changes... Can I test this now? -------------------------- Don't expect this work to be completed yesterday. Rig...

can't reboot (debian)
Hello, I have a working ocfs2 cluster with two nodes running on Debian Etch with 2.6.20 kernel and latest Debian packaged (1.2.3-1.3) ocfs2-tools. Everything works well, I just can't reboot machine correctly, it hangs up on "Will now reset" message. When I do reboot -f, it reboots correctly. When I press reset on "will now reset", everything boots up and joins the

GFS2 performance
Hi, I'm trying to get more performance out of my DRBD cluster with gfs2. It seems that our gfs2 implementation is quit slow. When running the ping_pong test we get no more than a 1000 locks/sec on the disk. ./ping_pong /mnt/backup/test.dat 4 879 locks/sec The cluster config has been updated with: <dlm plock_ownership="1" plock_rate_limit="0"/>

Centos 7 dhcpd failure to allow a 2nd network over same interal nic
> I have not been able to make any headway resolving this problem; Personally, I don't understand how you expect the DHCP server to decide which scope to use when a new connection appears on the network. DHCP discovery queries are presented from 0.0.0.0 to 255.255.255.255, not to a particular network's broadcast address. I'd be interested to see what happens when one of your

Hi, I''m in the process of evaluating puppet and cfengine for a rollout on a mix of in-house servers and managed customer servers. I''ve always been a pro-cfengine man, and it''s already running on a small setup of 5 machines. But even though I have pretty clear idea of how I should proceed building the system, I''m intimidated by the vast amount of
