Thanks very much David - This seems to have done the trick.
This configuration option does not appear in SWAT.
Cheers

running a ruby expression stored in a database
Is this even possible? I''ve got a ruby expression stored in a
database, it''s the code to run a plugin since I was having trouble
passing variables stored in the database.
When I try to call the code, it either outputs it as text, or doesn''t
display it at all. It''s supposed to generate an image and display it.
right now the code is stored in the database as:

mapped to the NT clients using samba. Everything has worked perfectly with
the windows application untill i reciently tried upgrading to a 2.2.X
version of Samba. ( I have tried 2.2.2, 2.2.3, 2.2.3a).
Now when i try to start the windows application, it

logon message
I am interested in creating a logon message to be delivered to users
when they logon. Is this possible? And if so, how can this be done?
With logon scripts? The majority of my clients are connecting from
Windows XP Pro, SAMBA is running on Debian Etch.
Thank You

Automatic printer download
Hallo!
I am running samba-3.0.10-1.4E.11 on centOS. I want to enable the
automatic printer download feature, but are running into problems.
I have tried to work it out from samba by example, but since the automatic
driver download is bundeled togehter with ldap (which I am not using),
this does not get me anywhere.
Can anyone direct me to a good howto on this - one that will make things
work! I

Issue with SambaNTPassword not replicating
...s not getting
replicated properly though. Is this a known issue with Samba in PDC/BDC
config or do I need to look to OpenLDAP? I'll post some config files if
someone has any input but didn't want to clutter this mail with excess
detail.
Thanks for any comment,

2.2.3a PDC Win2K Citrix Profiles
This weekend I upgraded SAMBA from 2.2.2 to 2.2.3a then made it the PDC on
our LAN. Original PDC was an NT4 Server. There is a Win2K Server running
Citrix Metaframe-XP, and the old NT4 PDC Server was replaced with another
Win2K
Server to be the Database Server. I didn't want to bother with setting Win2K
up as a DNS and DFS/ADS Server (required for being a PDC), so selected to
make SAMBA the

Icecast 2 for Live365 MP3 Relaying
Hi All,
I attempted to switch my MP3 server from Icecast 1 to Icecast 2 today. I
run a Live365 station, Big Planet Radio, which simply relays my local
Icecast server.
My Icecast 2 error.log file shows a lot of the following messages when the
Live365 server, Nanocaster 2.5.6, is connected to it:

PATCH: Samba/Win2K renaming bug
Hi there. I'm running Samba 2.2.3a on RedHat 7.1 + kernel 2.4.17. My
girlfriend's laptop is running Windows 2000 + service pack 2. She has
about a thousand MP3s stored on a Samba share on my RedHat machine. We
were finding that she couldn't rename any MP3s on the Samba share: she
would always get a sharing violation.
After a day of reading Samba logs at debug 10 (_such_ fun [ ;)

Samba crashes and domain problems
Hi,
I have inherited a Samba PDC running on SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 10.1
(the Samba version is 3.0.24-2.23-1296-SUSE-CODE10).
The server has been giving problems for a few weeks including the following
symptoms:
1. Users accessing a share are experiencing intermittent problems writing to
the share (Excel tells them the file they are trying to write is read-only).
2. when I try to add a

Using after_filter to remove image after render
Hi Everyone,
I tried doing this and it''s not working as I would expect it, but I''m
not sure if it''s even possible. I have an app that generates and image
on request and displays it to the user. To cut back on storage, and
some security, I''d like the app to receive the view request, render
the image, display it, then delete the file. I know this isn''t
