The problems is after the users connects to a samba share and opens msword, creates a document then does "file|save" Then opens the file and makes changes then does "file|save" again, it comes up and says that the backup copy of the file could not be created and never actually saves the file. One problem remains unsolved: Whenever we start Word 2k, it states "Preparing installation..." and "Please wait till office completes the installation..". It does so and we have a working Word.
