Help with 'annotation' in GOHyperGParamsClass
Dear cateGOry experts,
hyperGTest documentation states that YEAST cannot be used as 'annotation'
when evaluating gene ontology representation status for a given set of
'geneIds'.
Because I am using a custom print I believe I need to create my own data
package to use as the annotation file for 'annotation'. Can someone please
describe how to make a data package that will

superscript
Dear R-users.
I'm struggeling to fix the superscript of a label of a figure axis. For some reason R doesn't recognize the "hat" symbol.
plot(1,1,xlab="ligth intensity (PAR)",ylab=expression("mass Pteridium rhizomes" (gr/0.25m^2)))
A very similiar scriptline does not give any problem at all:
plot(1,1,xlab=expression("balsa plot basal

SectionMemoryManager::finalizeMemory ... read only data become executable?
Hi,
I am studying the llvm code and I noticed something that looks like a bug. If
it is intentional for some reason, it is not obvious why.
In lib/ExecutionEngine/SectionMemoryManager.cpp in
SectionMemoryManager::finalizeMemory method:
// Make code memory executable.
ec = applyMemoryGroupPermissions(CodeMem,
sys::Memory::MF_READ | sys::Memory::MF_EXEC);
...

I want axes that cross
Hello, everybody.
A student asked me a howto question I can't answer. We want the
length of the drawn axes to fill the full width and height of the
plot, like so:
|
| *
| *
| *
---|-----------------
However, when we use plot with axes=F and then use the axis commands
to add the axes, they do not cross over each other. We get

Opening a web browser from R?
Hi,
I was wondering if there's a way in R to open a web browser (such as
Internet Explorer, or Firefox or whatever).
I'm doing some analyses that have associated urls, and it would be
nice to have the ability to directly open the relevant page from
within R.
I was looking at the help for 'url' and I can see I can probably
access the information I need and display it in my

Tag forwarded X11 connection as remote
Hi,
Cross-posting to openssh-unix-dev and xorg-devel because this concerns both
projects.
When X11 connection is forwarded using ssh, the ssh client typically connects
to the local X server using unix socket (often it is the only option because X
servers no longer listens on TCP by default). X clients connected remotely
over ssh then seem like if they are local to the X server. Because of
