500 error while trying to run Camping on Dreamhost
I''ve tried setting up an Hello World app with Rails (no database), on a Dreamhost account. I used the configuration I found here http://www.mail-archive.com/camping-list at rubyforge.org/msg00114.html with the proper paths. But I keep getting Internal Server Errors (500). On the error.log I found this [Sun Jul 22 15:32:07 2007] [error] [client 82.154.48.138] FastCGI: comm with (dynamic) server "/home/xxx/little/dispatch.fcgi" aborted: (first read) idle timeout (60 sec), referer:...

Status of FLR in Xen 4.4
Hi everyone, I would like to ask what the current status of FLR, or better of FLR emulation is in latest Xen and if we can expect better support in the future. I''m asking because with xl (latest build and traditional qemu, not upstream), I always had problems with rebooting domUs which have vga cards passed through to them, because appearently they don''t get reinitialized and

File fragmentation
I've been running some tests on files created by rsync and noticing fragmentation issues. I started the testing because our 5TB array started performing very slowly and it appears fragmentation was the culprit. The test I conducted was straighforward: 1. Copy over a 49GB file. Analyzed with contig (from sysinternals), no fragments. 2. Ran rsync and the file was recreated normally (rsync

OpenSUSE packages
Hello guys, Nouveau's OpenSUSE Build packages have broken dependences. It seems that now it demands xorg>=7.5 but the avaiable in opensuse 11.2 (current version) is 7.4. As there is no xorg-7.5 compiled for 11.2, I'm running vesa driver by now. I guess that a hint on download page could be useful. Cheers, --- Luiz Angelo Daros de Luca, Me. luizluca at gmail.com

Re: [PATCH] Fix IPSec for Xen checksum offload packets (Jon Mason)
Hello Xen folks, I have independently verified that this patch indeed fixes the issue (I posted a message about the issue over the summer: http://lists.xensource.com/archives/html/xen-devel/2005-08/msg00114.html). I used changeset 8911 of xen-unstable.hg. The patch as written expects kernel linux-2.6.16-rc2, but changeset 8911 uses kernel 2.6.16-rc4. I verified that the patch works with kernel 2.6.16-rc4.
