Tried using nouveau instead of nv on my hardware.

Having trouble configuring nut 2.7.4 on Fedora 25, with a new Tripp Lite

I'm running XFCE, and XFCE's Power Manager sees the UPS just fine. lsusb
gives:

nut-scanner -U has no issues either:

I have no clue if he is correct... if so, maybe this has already been fixed?

I've had good experience with Cyberpower units, as long as they're included
NUT's hardware list.

rootflags argument doesn't work with initrd.
I tried to convert / to ext3, so I went ahead and entered
rootflags=noload,journal=355 on the LILO prompt. The kernel failed to
mount /:
EXT3-fs error (device ramdisk(1,0)): ext3_get_inode_loc: bad inode number: 355
The boot device is a scsi hard disk, so initrd is used to load the scsi
driver, before mounting /. So, it looks like the kernel rootflags= arg
gets applied to the ramdisk, not the

No module-info in 10/30's kernel-enterprise.i686.rpm
I just noticed that the kernel-enterprise RPM does not install a
module-info file in /boot, and after installing it there's a dangling soft
link, as a result. Is that a problem?

I just succesfully converted / to ext3 on a SCSI disk. It took quite a
while, by trial an error. It turns out that the rootflags= boot kernel
parameter doesn't work when the kernel boots with an initrd, as

recovery warning.
Every time I boot I get "ext3-fs: WARNING: recovery required on readonly
filesystem. EXT3-fs: write access will be enabled during recovery
EXT3-fs: recovery complete". Even if I unmount cleanly. Sounds like a
spurious warning.

SMP/PCMCIA
I have two sacrificial lambs -- one is an SMP box, the other one''s a
laptop, but I don''t see kernel-smp or kernel-pcmcia-cs packages.
So, can I use the ext3 patch on an SMP box or a laptop?

Converting / to ext3.
My guinea pig laptop has only a / partition, and a small /boot
partition. I installed the ext3 kernel succesfully (I think). Now, how
do I get / converted to ext3? I'm thinking:
* Use mkbootdisk on a floppy, to create a boot disk with the ext3 kernel.
* Boot off the floppy.
* Follow the instructions to convert / to ext3.
* Change the filesystem type in /etc/fstab to ext3.
* Reboot.

On Fedora 27, running commit 2999c95f0:
