MplusAutomation
R list-
i have begun using the "MplusAutomation" while piloting a large-scale simulation (~200,000 replications). since the package takes advantage of the DOS batch mode available in Mplus, each replication starts and activates a new instance of a command prompt window. this effectively locks me out of my computer for the duration of t...

CRAN (and crantastic) updates this week
...>>n. rCCA is a regularized
version of CCA to deal with the large number of variables. sPLS
allows variable selection in a one step procedure and two frameworks
are proposed: regression and canonical analysis. Numerous graphical
outputs are provided to help interpreting the results.

The MplusAutomation package leverages the flexibility of the R
language to automate latent variable model estimation and
interpretation using Mplus, a powerful latent variable modeling
program developed by Mu...

SEM validation: Cross-Validation vs. Bootstrapping
Hello All,
Recently, I was asked to help out with an SEM cross-validation analysis. Initially, the project was based on "sample-splitting" where half of cases were randomly assigned to a training sample and half to a testing sample. Attempts to replicate a model developed in the training sample using the testing sample were not entirely successful. A number of parameter estimates were

extractModelParameters HELP!!!
Hello Gurus,
I'm using one of the function, i.e. extractModelParameters, from the
MplusAutomation package to read parameters fromMplus out files into R. I have
360 cells and each cell has several out files (max. 100). I'm extracting the
model parameters from each cell and doing subsequent calculations, primarily, on
'est.' column. The following code demonstrates how I'm...

Which confint() method do you have in mind? There is at least four of
them by default in R, and many additional classes could make use of
stats:::confint.default by implementing vcov().

remove quotes from the paste output
Hi,
I'm generating the name of the variable with paste function and then using that
variable name further to get the specific position value from the data.frame,
here is the snippet from my code:
modelResults <- extractModelParameters("C:/PilotStudy/Mplus_Input/Test",
recursive=TRUE)
#extractModelParameters reads all the output files from the Test folder and
create the
