"weight" parameter in htb?
Hello, I''ve been using cbq''s "weight" parameter to influence distribution of excess bandwidth among sibling classes. Does htb offer something similar? So far I think that - you either use priorities - then excess bandwidth is offered to higher priority classes first, the rest (if any) is distributed among lower priority classes - or you don''t use

Sorry to bother with such a question I was trying to generate a monte carlo simulation with heteroskedasticity errors. but I am not sure if the command line that I had wrote is quite correct. the type of heteroskedasticity that I want to create is such as var(e) = var(x^4) I began my work with this x<- rnorm (100, 2,0.4) # generating an indepedent random variable e<-

Timeliness of precompiled binaries--R-2.2.1 still not available as RPM
R-2.2.1 is still not available for Redhat Linux as an RPM on CRAN. It is available as an SRPM. Can someone fill me in on why it takes so long to make RPMs available? I would be happy to help make the RPMs for el4 and el3 if such help is needed. Regards, Scott Waichler Pacific Northwest National Laboratory scott.waichler _at_ pnl.gov

ROSH: Updated
I finally have a nice branch that should merge cleanly against the master head without unnecessary cruft. git://gnx.ath.cx/syslinux.git The branch, 'rosh_for_hpa', contains the updates. At the moment, I've fixed more's pagination and overflow on large screens. It also shows some version information about the operating environment and build environment. I've also made some

Solaris Express server name broadcast
...I shouldn''t be asking such questions; obviously, I was on the devil''s side of the fork, and as one knows, dining with the devil implies using a very long "fork" - private joke. I then decided to leave that list, that now has very little appeal to me, given the local mores. I did just that. However, I consulted the last messages on the archive, and had the pleasure to see that after I left the list, someone (thanks Dmitry) had found there had been what could be called, for a lack of a better word, a certain lack of courtesy towards my person. But it was too late...

Samba suddenly going nuts!
Hello, we're running 2.2.1a on a production server. Lately, it's been giving us troubles. Monday mordning, this moring, and 2 times more during today, samba stopped responding to all requests from Windows (2000) clients. This has happened once before a week ago, and once several weeks ago. Today it seems to be getting much worse. If left un-attended the system will eventually run out of

Complete Web Interface?
Hi all, I was wondering, has anyone built a complete web interface for SMB servers? What I was thinking of would be something like SMB2WWW, but that would also allow the user to click command buttons to delete, upload, move, rename, etc. Permissions to the shares would be established the same way as they are done now, by asking for a username / password on restricted shares. Essentially, I
