Hi, I have tried to run half-life in linux with with wine. But there seams to be a problem with my graphics card. I can play games in linux with 3dfx support, but if I try to run half-life with wine it says that my graphics card doesn't support openGL. Does anyone know what I can do about this. Yello I use (or try to use :) wine 20010824 (installed from MDK rpm). For some reason TCP/IP apps (Ultima Online, mIRC, etc.) work fine, but when I go to browse servers for Internet Games in Half Life / Counterstrike / etc.. can't get a server list, no error, just 0 servers. No, there are no filters on or anything and I hit update and refresh and still a no go; Yes, Everything works fine in Windows. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Douglas Thigpen

Hello! I`ve got Problems to get Half-Life to work with wine. When I try to start Half-Life i just get a small part of the hl menu displayed. In the upper left corner there just appears a little "Konsole" icon, and wine hangs. Maybe Wine is not compatible with the German Version of HL? Thanks, Stephan

Can anyone tell me, or point me in the direction to find, information on speeding up WINE if possible (especially OpenGL)? I'm sure there must be some way that I can do it. While I'm willing to accept it if it is not possible (heck, WINE is incredibly good for alpha software doing what it is doing), programs under WINE tend to be too slow for practical use, so any help on fixing

Hey all Have a very strange problem in slack 8, using wine 20011004. First noticed this with counterstrike, than checked with other programs that should access the net. I get this error, and programs fail: fixme:winsock:_get_sock_fd handle 304 is not a socket (GLE 6) Documentation seems to imply that if I can get on the net with linux, I should be able to use wine with it. Weirdest part is
