Message delivered twice caused by an LMTP error "Got unexpected reply" during upgrade to 2.3
Hi all, we are upgrading our dovecot platform from: # dovecot --version 2.2.15.14 (39f57c379ded+) to # dovecot --version 2.3.2.1 (0719df592) Our platform is debian based and it is configured as director and backend proxy. We have just upgrade only 4 servers (2 directors and 2 backends) and when the lmtp traffic flow goes through an upgraded director and a not-upgraded backend sometimes the

oggpack_writecopy bug
At some stage (possibly commit r17268) oggpack_writecopy started to fail with some strings longer than 256 bytes and all strings longer than 512 bytes. Also it thrashes the stack with very long strings. Lithopsian

That is going to make reproducing the circumstances here a bit difficult (difficult to get that compiled here anymore). I cannot reproduce anything like that so far with current

monty's branch test
Hello! I tested some songs with the new code that Monty merged into the snapshot. It works better than the previous code ;-), but I noticed some strange noises made at high frequencies, even at very high bitrates : a continuous, high-pitched noise is added over the medium voice, and it sounds like a whistle. The previous code didn't do that. On the...

AACPlus Shoutcast v1.90
> hmmm.. very interesting.. any info on how they've done the licensing ? No idea how the licensing works. If it's free for the streamer then that may destroy Vorbis's inroads into streaming. I'm hoping that Monty and others can improve Vorbis to start competing with AAC+ at low bitrates. Monty said he had some ideas but I wonder if anything is being worked on presently. Ross.

GOOD BUSINESS FOR YOU
It's rather ironic that there has been more traffic generated regarding spam than actual spam. -----Original Message----- From: Ray Heasman [mailto:nurf@spamcop.net] Sent: Wednesday, June 26, 2002 5:47 PM To: vorbis-dev@xiph.org Subject: Re: [vorbis-dev] GOOD BUSINESS FOR YOU <p>Hi Monty, There is a way around this. You can use TMDA, which will send back a confirmation request to someone if their mail address isn't on a whitelist. It just sends an email saying "Reply to this if you are human.". In my experience this cuts out 99.99% of spam. If you would like to see...

NHW Project - news with Xiph.org
Hello, These last 2 months, I have talked again with Monty Montgomery about the NHW Project and he told me that Xiph.org would like to encourage the NHW Project development. That's just great! I'll see what Monty will do on his side (and when he has time), but he also told me that the NHW codec has merits but there must be an effort to demonstrate...

...es for their training platform to catch up to their release? Which is to say, if RHES 6 is released on day 1, at what point will they start training on RHES6? I'm asking here instead of RH since I want real-world answers, not the company line. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated. TIA, Monty

Fwd: Skeleton 4.0 draft, help with Dirac fields please!
...; I need you guys to decide whether we want to include extra granulepos > fields to Skeleton 4. Given the underwhelming discussion regarding this, > I'm guessing the need and/or desire for these fields isn't really there. I haven't commented mostly because I don't know what Monty's plans for a "grand unified granpos scheme" are. All of this is mostly in his head right now, and he needs to be the one to provide feedback.

Fixing ogg vorbis corruption caused by bad metadata
