Maybe on that way we can promove the translation to other languages. PD. The wiki looks very very elegant Cheers -- Hardy Beltran Monasterios

Common content for 'Release Notes'
...y sample: 'sha1sum' , 'translations' I sugest start to using the macro 'Include' for the next releases. I'm not an MoinMoin expert but AFAIKU this macro is useful for common content. By the moment we (translators) are doing 'copy and paste' -- Hardy Beltran Monasterios La Paz, Bolivia.

How to calculate the perimeter and common border of polygons?
Dear R-users, Is there any way of calculating the perimeter of a polygon in a shapefile object? Furthermore, how to calculate the length of the common border of two polygons? I've searched the code of spded, but could not find a hint on how to do it. Thank you very much, Leo. [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

Problem with constrained optimization with maxBFGS
Dear all, I need to maximize the v: v= D' W D D is a column vector ( n , 1) W is a given matrix (n, n) subject to: sum D= 1 (BTW, n is less than 300) I´ve tried to use maxBFGS, as follows: ##################################### objectiveFunction<-function(x) { return(t(D)%*%W%*%D) } Amat<-diag(nrow(D)) Amat<-rbind((rep(-1, nrow(D))), Amat) bvec<-matrix( c(0), nrow(D)+1,

RedHat Bugzilla
Does anyone here have access to the RedHat Bugzilla bug number 113233? https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=113233 I get "You are not authorized to access bug #113233." which kind of makes it hard to know what they think they have fixed. PS. CentOS-2 Update 7 is currently being built and will be ready soon. John. -- John Newbigin Computer Systems Officer Faculty of

Wiki deuglification Part I
Hey guys, I toyed around with the Wiki today to deuglify it a little bit. I used a theme which is a bit of a "CMS" theme for MoinMoin and played around with the logo colors. The theme is based on the plsavez theme, which I like as it has a very uncluttered interface for people who aren't logged in - they only see some important interwiki links (FrontPage, RecentChanges and so on),

4.7!
Ooops, we did it again ... This release (4.7) has the first release notes on the wiki for a CentOS 4 release. And as always we could use some people to translate those :) We didn't find that many problems within QA, so the release notes should now be fairly complete, with limitied changes to them. ISo if you are interested and willing (you are, aren't you?), this is the place to edit:

General question on QA from a Fedora Core fan
Apologies if this ends up a dup, but there seems to have been a problem with my original subscription. ------------------------------ Hello, I am currently using Fedora on most of my servers. It does pretty well. I do have occasional problems which seem to me to stem from poor QA. For example, /usr/bin/enable <queue> coming back with "Enable: I don't know what to do!"
