this module doesn't seem to want to work on anything but a root ubuntu filesystem. It won't work on any external drives or secondary drives just the main one. This poses as a problem for a system with several drives. if i delete on a secondary drive of any sort with any use in a samba share over smb i get the folders placed in the recycle bin but no file. I have a sent copy of the config

Try do a meta data cleanup "the GUI way"; check DNS, System container, AD sites and services etc. And remove any remains of the old DC. Remove acl_attr at the end. It's another vfs object. The share name indicates that there might be quite large files. Do you hit a default(?) max limit which tells Samba to just discard the file? Hi 4.1.11 no longer includes the idmap_ad module in a default ./configure. This has caught out at least two list users recently. We think it is important enough to reinstate as default. I am building a 64bit machine for a DC (CentOS 7) following the instructions on the Samba wiki. I did have a "usershares" share when I first set the domain up. This has since been removed. The strange thing is that from my PC (which was the first to be added to the domain) and from this PC (which was the second) I can still see the share (and access it from my PC). Seems like there is some caching going on somewhere. Any idea how it can be cleared? John On 30/06/2015

Ubuntu 14.04, ctdb 2.5.1 from the ubuntu package. samba 4.1.11 with cluster support from source. Error upon startup only. Restarting ctdb on that node clears the error. The other node with the same config is OK. Any ideas?
