That is why I asked for a protocol :)
Why we have to go the extra mile of parsing the XML, that will contain
plenty of info we don't need !!
Anyway, thank you for the tips.

WG: ARM port?
...ly the decoder to implement. I will compile the tremor projekt next week and post my success or fail.
If it works fine I will sell the boards on ebay, if this is ok? It would then be a player modul for ogg vorbis and wave with midi input.
Best regards Erik

I know our device can handle any size TCP frame (upto MSS), but it would
certainly be more efficient if all frames were filled to MSS (536 for our
device).
Appreciate your comments.

p.s. Btw we're using a CBR stream as you might have guessed.

I have a few related questions.
I'm using the following Debian packages:

Icecast2 (2.3.1-2)
Here's the input section of my ices-playlist.xml:

Mike,
I had tried it without the bind-address first and no luck. I took it back
out and still no luck.
I can listen to the stream by using http://38.116.36.8:8000/Jazz, but can
not get to the alias with http://38.116.36.8:8010

Thanks for this pointer. I'd been meaning to reply on this thread, but
hadn't got around to it, primarily because I didn't really understand
TCP_CORK (the linux manpage is, as usual, fairly unclear on what
exactly it does). Now I understand!

Direct crash on ov_open
Greetings,
I've just downloaded the Ogg/Vorbis Win32 SDK 'OggVorbis-win32sdk-1.0.1.zip' and
made a test app to open an ogg file. But as soon as I call ov_open() the program
crashes because of an access violation to address 0x00000010...
This happens on both Release and Debug builds.
The test app is simple:
#include "vorbis/codec.h"
#include "vorbis/vorbisfile.h"

Mike,
Thank you very much. I did just like you said and it works fine. I did not
use an ipv6 address in the ices2.

Another person cannot hear my radio (yet)
Hi,
First of all, thank you Jason, Geoff and Ian.
There?s an Icecast 2.2.0 server in my Windows XP, with Oddcast working
with Winamp 2.95.
I?m able to open something like http://201.1.33.#:8000/live.m3u (my
radio?s address; IP?s dynamic) in my own machine. However, this URL
cannot be open by another machines. Message in those browsers is "URL

This happens even while

yet... Would you please help me?
Thanks a lot,

cpanel and ices
Why does cpanel want to remove ices files? How can I prevent this from
occurring?
What I get is /libexec/ld-elf.so.1: Shared object "libshout.so.3" not
found, required by "ices" after cpanel does it nightly updates.
Also if I do a SIGHUP to ices to update a playlist, do I just need to
issue the command ices SIGHUP? What would be the correct format.
Again, I apologize for
