It's more or less designed for non-networked stand-alone
home pc hard drive boot/rescue/backup!
It has large file support, you can use the programs
dd, mke2fs, mkdosfs, mkreiserfs, split, mount, tar,
gzip, and bzip2 for files larger than 2GB!
You can only have files larger than 2GB on a ext2/3 or
reiserfs partition.
It includes the fat16/32, ext2/3, and reiserfs partition
resizing programs...

e2fsck errors after lvextend when trying to resize2fs
I found a thread that has almost the exact same symptoms as me, but didn't
seem to come to a resolution:

I have an LVM(2) array that I've just lvextend'd and want to resize2fs, but I
can't get through the e2fsck. I get these errors when fsck-ing:

File Systems - Which one to use?
We are looking at implementing a Linux box running samba in the near
future with about 1TB of disk online. The purpose of this box will be
for basic file and printer sharing needs. I am doing research on the
different journaling file systems avaible in RH 7.3 and up (ext3,
reiserFS, and JFS) and was wondering if anyone has had any real world
experience with them (mostly reiserFS and JFS) and

Turning root partition into a RAID array
I have a CentOS 4.2 system that was set up VERY quickly following the demise
of its former life as a CentOS 3 server - you don't want the full story, but
it had to be done quickly to get a company up and working following a slight
disaster involving an electrician, a portable appliance safety tester and a
pulled power cable - anyway, here's where I am at...
