Prevent 'R CMD check' from reporting "NA"/"NA_character_" missmatch?
Hello,
I'm writing a package am running 'R CMD check' on it.
Is there any way to make 'R CMD check' not warn about a missmatch between
'NA_character_' (in the function definition) and 'NA' (in the
documentation)?
Thanks for any help.

PANIC: share_modes_identical
When 2.2.4 was released, I updated my cvs and did ./configure and make (no
special options). Since I came in somewhat early today and nobody was
around I did the make install. Everything ran fine until I tried to load a
particular file and I'm receiving the following error and unable to open the
file on a network share. If I place the file on a local drive it loads
fine. Permissions and

Building a NFS server with a mix of HDD and SSD (for caching)
Hi list,
I'm building a NFS server on top of CentOS 8.
It has 8 x 8 TB HDDs and 2 x 500GB SSDs.
The spinning drives are in a RAID-6 array. They are 4K sector size.
The SSDs are in RAID-1 array and with a 512bytes sector size.
I want to use the SSDs as a cache using dm-cache. So here what I've done
so far:
/dev/sdb ==> SSD raid1 array
/dev/sdd ==> spinning raid6 array
I've

Should I dump my Nvidia card from the less known brand "Gainward"?
Hi everyone.
I'm a big Free Software enthusiast and, therefore, I would very much like to use the nouveau free driver, instead of the proprietary one.
My problem is that, looking for the cheapest option available, when I needed to buy a new graphics card, 2 years ago, I decided for a model from a brand that I had never heard of - called "Gainward" - because I thought it had a

- when trying to make an outside call I get unable to
create channel of type Zap. Everyone is busy/congested

Problem with Sound sync
Hi, everyone!
I have a little Problem with running Guitar Pro 6 under Wine 1.2.2
It runs fine but the sound during playing a music-file isnt sync to the pointer that shows what note has been played right now.
When i start playback, the pointer moves correctly, but the sound is starting after about one note is passed.
This makes writing song very ennoying.

UIDLs problem on migration to dovecot
Hello list,
I'm about to migrate from Courier 4.6 (POP and IMAP) to Dovecot 1.2. I
am currently trying to match UIDLs of both servers to avoid redownload
of mails but I could not success. I've already configured dovecot POP3

pop3_uidl_format = UID%u-%v
I also executed the script 'courier-dovecot-migrate.pl' to do the

2.0.7 -> 3.0.0 upgrade
Hey all,
I''m thinking about moving my 2.0.7 install over to 3.0.0 for eventual use in a
production environment.
Two questions:
1) Do people think 3.0.0 is ready for production - or is it just a
testing/unstable playpen?
2) What do I have to change - just the xen-2.0.7.gz for do I have to recompile
the dom0/domU kernels too?
Cheers,
