Mirroring centos.org
Hello, I would like to mirror the centos.org repository for an offline network. I don't need the ISO images, don't need any i386 stuff, and I think I probably don't need any of the source code rpms either. Most of the clients are CentOS 6.x, so I don't want to download the CentOS 7.x tree yet either (that will come soon, but separately from this one). I tried using this command,

Virsh-install error
...ed. Have I answered one of the questions virsh-install asks wrongly? Does anyone know of a general guide for installing PV guests with virsh-install? (Most Centos docs seem to use the GUI based virt-manager and I only have command line access). Am I meant to make use of the files here: http://www.mirrorservice.org/sites/mirror.centos.org/5.3/os/x86_64/image s/xen/ Thanks, Rob # virt-install Would you like a fully virtualized guest (yes or no)? This will allow you to run unmodified operating systems. no What is the name of your virtual machine? mg3 How much RAM should be allocated (in megabytes)?...

Where are the Centos 7.1 1503 KVM repos please?
Hi all. I have just installed Centos 7.1 from the DVD image: http://www.mirrorservice.org/sites/mirror.centos.org/7/isos/x86_64/CentOS-7-x86_64-DVD-1503-01.iso and I cannot find the KVM modules. Are they in a repo that is not in the base distribution please? Kind Regards, Keith -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL: <http://lists.cento...

DRBD module for latest kernel
Will there be a matching DRBD kernel module package for the latest kernel that is in the updates repository? The kernel version in the updates is: kernel-smp-2.6.9-34.0.1.EL.i686.rpm but I don't see a matching DRBD module in updates. Thanks, Steve

Possible repo polllution
Hi, I've just been checking my local copy of the CentOS repos. I found 200+ i386/i686 packages in both the updates/5/RPMS and updates/6/Packages directories. I checked with my rsync site ( ftp.heanet.ie ) and the equivalent UK site ( ftp.mirrorservice.org ) and they both carried these packages also. Is this a case a repo pollution, it can't be necessary to have i386 packages in the x86_64 updates. Just checking before I delete these packages. Thanks. Tony

R packages in Fedora 18 and 19
...ackages for R. But now I find that yum reports nothing available: # yum install R-devel R Loaded plugins: auto-update-debuginfo, langpacks, refresh-packagekit, versionlock No package R-devel available. No package R available. So I went to check manually in the download directory, e.g. http://www.mirrorservice.org/sites/dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/fedora/linux/releases/18/Fedora/x86_64/os/Packages/r/ This doesn't contain any R packages either. Do you guys need a hand to investigate how your APT repository could be mirrored by, say... http://www.mirrorservice.org/ ? Thanks a lot, -- Richard Gomes

yum update / kernal update failed - remove or repair
I have a VPS running C7. I ran a 'yum update' which included a kernel update. The yum update wasn't a total success because mariadb updates failed. However everything else appeared to work. However, when I rebooted the server it did not restart. I have managed to get the ISP's support desk to boot the server by selecting the previous kernel, and I now have access to my box again.
