Besides that now I'm being "moderated", my posts are being rejected and edited version of them get to the list i.e[syslinux] [PATCH 0/1] EFI image booting capabilities Please when you have a minute try to see who has e...

migrating to dovecot
Hello, I am trying to setup a migration scenario from an proprietary solution to dovecot IMAP/POP3. Whereas am only at the strating point, things appear quite complicated because of the following reasons: - The proprietary solution uses special/own/proprietary mailbox format (wich is more like maildir but is not maildir) - I don't have direct access to the filesystem where the mails are

Adam Platform Technology test report
This is rather off topic, but I thought it was worth propagating. Those of you who've been around long enough may remember stories of an australian teenager who invented a miraculous video compression technology, capable of streaming VHS-quality (or was it DVD-quality) video over a POTS modem line. 5 years ago. And no, you couldn't see it. We have a demo we'll bring buy, but

crazy loop error.
...ause an NA creeps in somewhere. The problem can be seen far before that. The full output from the run is below. A lot of stuff was printed to help with the debugging. At n=4, there are three repeats of 5, therefore hello is printed 3 times. n then becomes 7. Then when the for-loop returns to top, n miraculously becomes 5. Hows that!!?? Then on, everything goes wrong. I cannot figure out the problem. [1] "n: 1" [1] "------End of while loop-------" [1] "hello" [1] "n: 2" [1] "******End of for loop********" [1] "n: 2" [1] "------End of whil...

That way you can spread the load. You'll need...

Model methods and partial view templates
I have a method in a controller that invokes a render :partial => ''some_partial_view'' In that view, I''m trying to access a method defined in a model, like this; <% for view in @an_array %> <% local_var = view.some_method() %> <% another_var = view.a_column_name %> etc.. I am getting an undefined method error but the model is accessible

Documentation bug? domadm privileges

Exited the usrmgr.exe and restarted usrmgr.exe (without logout) and it -- MIRACULOUSLY WORKED! Suggestion: replace "Users of such accounts can use tools like the NT4 Domain User Management" with "Users of such accounts cannot still use tools like the NT4 Domain User Management because having root as primary group is not enough. However, if the Domain Admins group is i...

Bizarre problem - happens only under XP and not 2000
I have a very strange problem, which no one has been able to fathom to this point so I'm hoping that someone here may have encountered something similar. I'd better note down some background details first. Relevant machines involved: Win2K Adv. Server SP3 (acting as Active Directory primary) Win2K Pro SP3 (authenticates against Win2K server above) WinXP Pro SP1 (authenticates against

The nature of the problem I've observed is intermittent, meaning that it can come and go. If it's temporarily solved, that is not the same as being permanently solved. A permanent solution is hopefully coming. As...

Solaris problem & exim. Please ignore it.
...nder Solaris. Exim was using fprintf to output the AUTH string and for some unknown reason it was hanging, possibly because the input buffer on the file stream wasn't empty or something. After modifying the Exim's dovecot authentication plug-in to use write(2) instead of fprintf(3C) it miraculously worked! SYSLINUX 2.20-pre1 available
After a couple of very late nights I actually have a VERY preliminary test of the rewritten SYSLINUX available for preview. However; don't expect it to do anything miraculous yet; the testing it has gotten can best be described as infinitesimal. In theory, though, it should now support EDD and FAT32, as well as FAT filesystems with very large clusters (up to 64K). NOTE: The Win32

Protocol incompatibility with rsync 2.6.4 (cvs) and disk full

I'm not sure why it gives this weird error when the *sender* has a full partition but apparantly it did. ...t is there. It'd be nice to see it finished up... in the meantime, the (ie) "show application gotoif" seems to suffice... and the mailing list has answered a few questions, like how to record messages for playback. Pleasant Surprise: I've got a 1970's rotary dial phone (which miraculously works instead of touch tone with asterisk!), and a few cheap touch-tone phones to test all this. Thanks, murf --

That said, the statement could be an intentional...
