encoding argument of source() in 3.5.0
On R 3.5.0 (Mac) The issue appears when using the default (libcurl) method and specifying the encoding Note that using method='internal' causes a segfault if used in conjunction with encoding. beta binomial distribution installation
Hello, Thank you for your response. I need to install RankTail package since it contains the beta binomial distribution, CDF and inverse CDF in the usual form which I need to use. However rmutil package contain unusual forms for these functions. So it is easier for me to deal with the forms are contained in RankTail. I tried to install bioconductor package, using the following commands but I

Overlapping x axes using Lattice
Hi R users I apologise in advance for this question as I suspect it is simple and perhaps others have had this problem. I am struggling to sort out how to fix the x axes so that the labels don't overlap. I have put the following example together to show my problem. library(lattice) titre <- as.factor(rep(c(10999,20999,30999,40999,50999,60999,

copy of smbpasswd

The new one is SLES9 with samba 3.0.2b-3.4 SuSE Is there a way to re-use the old smbpasswd file? In the log-files I can see that the authentication fails when I try to access a shared folder. A windows client keeps on asking the login and password. Is it possible to re-use

Spatial join between two datasets using x and y co-ordinates
Hi R users I am trying to create a spatial join between two datasets. The first data set is large and contains descriptive data including x and y co-ordinates. The second dataset is small and has been selected spatially. The only data contained within the second dataset is the x and y coordinates only i.e. no descriptive data. The aim of a join made between the two datasets is to select
