PCI or MiniPCI Hardware DSP for G.729, G.723.1 and/or GSM
Hi to all, we are searching for a hardware based DSP solution for use with Asterisk based on PCI or MiniPCI to reduce main processor load and to use embedded boards with Digium E1/T1 cards like TE410P. does anyone know about any manufactorer of those cards or someone who is able to develop/build such cards? Specifications: PCI or MiniPCI up to 120 concurrent transcodings Codecs: G.729/G.729A or G.723.1...

Junghanns douBRI miniPCI (b559) DAHDI drivers
Hi I got a simple patch (merely extra PCI IDs for Junghanns douBRI miniPCI: https://issues.asterisk.org/view.php?id=18169 Sadly the reporter did not follow up on the report. I'd like to get at least one positive report before I commit this. Anybody has this device and wants it to work with DAHDI? Please update the bug report. -- Tzafrir Cohen icq#168...

Centos 4 & Cisco 350 MiniPCI Wireless
I have an IBM Thinkpad with this beastie in it. The card was immediately recognized and uses the airo driver. No matter what I do, I can't get it to successfully connect to my WAP. Sometimes it sees the access point (as evidenced by an iwlist wifi0 scan seeing the network) and sometimes I can actually get it to connect ( as evidenced by the iwlist command showing the WAP ID).

In the market for a new (old) laptop
...2" LCD, ie. a small unit that can be used on a plane! Good battery life, 2nd battery an option (min 4hr battery time, perfer 8hr). Swappable drives (preferably not requing a screw driver as my old Portege or a non-findable drive carrier as my HP nc4010). Built in Ethernet, and 2 USB 2.0 ports miniPCI wireless (external antenna options would be nice!) Eraser-head mouse pointer (IBM thinkpad-style), optional addtional touchpad (I hate touchpads for D&D. Bluetooth would be nice, but own many Bluetooth USB tokens. Don't need weight, power-draw of a CD/DVD drive, got a USB one when needed...

Which external WiFi device for laptop running CentOS 5.3?
Have decided to give up on the embedded Broadcom 4312 wireless device in my son's Dell laptop. I get WEP open authentication to work, but nothing else. I was about to dump the bcm43xx kernel module and the bcm43xx-microcode5.fw firmware and work with the newer b43 module and associated firmware. However, he claims that at school, he has always had intermittent problems with wireless under

Intel NUC? Any experience
Folks The price point of Intel's NUC unit makes it attractive to use as a server that doesn't have significant computational load. In my environment, a USB connected hard-drive could provide all the storage needed. I wonder if anyone has had experience with it, and can answer: 1) Does Centos6 and/or Centos7 install from a USB connected optical drive? or a USB flash drive? I'd

Atheros AR5141
Hi I got myself a nice little R52 802.11a/b/g MiniPCI Card for our router. This card is using the Atheros AR5141 chipset. I searched everywhere to find out more info on this and came across a few pages where it said that the AR5141 chipset is supported but when I stick the card in the router and boot FreeBSD 7-STABLE it hangs when loading the Atheros...

Digium transcoding card
Hi, Given that the Digium transcoding card has no external connections (AFAIK), it strikes me that it would suit a mini-PCI slot very well. Does such a beast exist, or is it likely to? Am I correct in assuming that this is a Digium-only product, and there is no OEM equivalent "generic" board out there that I could be investigating? It would be such a shame to waste a PCI slot that

BeroNet HFC-4S card is now detected as only 2 ports
Hello list, After upgrading from BRIstuff 1y-b to 1y-e my ISDN card is suddently detected as 2 ports instead of 4. I still load the driver as "modprobe qozap ports=12" as I've always done. But now it only sees 2 ports. Output of "lspci -vvv" ------ cut -------- 02:01.0 ISDN controller: Cologne Chip Designs GmbH ISDN network Controller [HFC-4S] (rev 01) Subsystem:

Need Broadcom 4311 firmware for CentOS 5
Any hope of getting my laptop's Broadcom BCM94311 wireless running on CentOS 5? I find lots of references to using fwcutter to get the needed firmware from Windows drivers, but there's a Catch-22: Version of fwcutter that generate files for the bcm43xx driver in CentOS 5 don't recognize the md5sum of any currently available Windows driver. Newer versions of fwcutter

ADSL routers with integrated SIP QoS for other devices
Greetings list, Thanks to all who replied to my thread a few days ago "SIP devices with packet loss tolerance". One of the suggestions that came out of that thread was to replace routers at users' premises with ones that support QoS. I've used m0n0wall's QoS in the past with reasonable success, but it's quite a bulky and complex setup for deploying to remote sites which

ISDN BRI (I.430) over ethernet
Does anyone know of a hardware adapter that can take ISDN BRI frames (I.430) and encapsulate them in Ethernet (any form, but TDMoE would be really cool), in much the same way that the redfone does for PRI? (yes I have asked this before in looser terms, but it was a while ago :) Would anyone find such a device useful? Thanks James

Compatible Asterisk Connectivity Cards : Sangoma
Hello List! I wanted to share to everyone the following compatible connectivity products that my company installed in our Asterisk based soft switch. I already sent these to the Asterisk.org site many days ago but for some reason they still have to post it. 1. Sangoma A101 single port E1/T1/PRI Card 2. Sangoma A102 dual port E1/T1/PRI Card 3. Sangoma A104 quad port E1/T1/PRI Card 4. Sangoma
