Intel Displayport on Centos 7
...out bending or breaking the connector by accident. Far
better than HDMI, which can partially pull out with no warning, and no
screws like DVI or VGA to deal with. Having said that, I feel just
about the opposite about the mini-displayport connector; I'd much rather
have an HDMI . But the miniDP does save space....
My CentOS 7 Dell Precision M6500 laptop (ATI Firepro 7820 graphics with
the stock CentOS ATI driver, not the Catalyst/fglrx one) is driving
three 1920x1200 displays (two dell 24 inch 16:10 and the laptop's
built-in 17.1 inch) very well indeed. When I take the laptop to...

[Bug 51362] New: DisplayPort output on nVidia Quadro K2000M (ThinkPad W530) doesn't work
...eated attachment 63375
--> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=63375
Kernel Log
I've disabled Optimus in the BIOS, so only the K2000M is running. Xrandr shows
all my available ports, but no matter what mode I set on the DisplayPort
(connected to an Acer monitor via a known-good MiniDP to HDMI adapter), I get
the error "Input Not Supported" on my monitor.
What other information besides the kernel log can I submit to help with this
bug?

Atomic modesetting + DisplayPort MST
Hey all,
I've just pushed out the initial Nouveau support for $subject \o/
As the atomic modesetting transition is basically a rewrite of the KMS
portion of the driver, I would be very grateful for any additional
testing that people could provide (even as simple as just booting and
making sure you get a display is valuable).

Intel Displayport on Centos 7
Since my current monitor appears to be slowly dying, I'm looking for a
replacement. I generally use hardware replacement as an excuse to get
something bigger/better/faster than what I had before, so I'm currently
considering something like a BenQ GW2765HT.
The manual for my Intel motherboard has this to say about DisplayPort on
the built-in graphics controller:

[PATCH v3 0/4] nouveau RPM fixes for Optimus (final)
Hi,
Here are two patches to fix an issue reported on kernel bugzilla (infinite loop
due to unchecked function) and a more important fix to fix hanging Optimus
machines when runtime PM is enabled (with pm/pci patches).
These are the final patches targeting v4.8. Changes compared to v2[1]:
collected R-b from Hans and Mika and fixed a minor comment style issue.
I recommend it to be merged before

ATI/AMDs atikmpag.sys BSOD while vga passthrough
Hi everyone
since I''m currently migrating from xm to xl and now are also a victim
of the said error, I started researching on it and found that many
people had the issue but not many found solution and behind this BSOD
(=Bluescreen of Death), there are actually multiple errors in hiding.
What I would like to do is gather as much info as possible in this
thread to form a kind of
