Unknown setting error with dovecot-sql.conf.ext
...ou so much for pointing me in the right direction. After removing the 3 invisible characters from the dovecot-sql.conf.ext file it magically worked. Mono Output
Hi All, Is it possible to send output in mono using Icecast? Also, would that mean I would only be sending one channel so effectively halving the bandwidth? [Icecast-dev] metadata fallback mounts
Have now set the log to level 4 and viewed the output when the stream stops/starts. Can't see any errors though. I'm getting: source/source_move_clients passing 1 listeners to "/fallback.mp3" on stream stop and: source/source_move_clients passing 1 listeners to "/studio" when the stream starts again, so looks like it's working. Could it be the client at

Rename BTRfs to MuchSlowerFS ?
Hi list, I don''t trust theoretical benchmarks that much and prefer "real-life benchs" on the occasion, so here''s mine: Given 4 laptops, the most powerful of which was running BTRFS and the others ext3 or ext4, all machines running Ubuntu 11.04 Natty 32-bit with a stock Ubuntu 2.6.38-11 kernel, all machines were given the following FS-intensive task : - Upgrade

Multiple Output Streams
Hi All, Got a question about multiple streams that I'm a bit confused about. What I want to do is send a 128Kbps stream up to the server and then have the server split this into 128, 56 and 24 Kbps streams. My question is: What is the best tool for this and what is the process? I'm guessing that ICES is the tool that I need but thought I'd ask before I spent more time on it in

Problem with Fallbacks
Hi All, I've got a problem with fallbacks and I just cannot seem to find the answer anywhere, I've been looking for weeks. Here's the situation: Stream is working fine and listeners are happy. Then, the stream stops and the fallback takes over, great everyone is still happy. BUT....Even though the stream has come back online the fallback continues to play over and over and never

Then I take the stream down and after about 14 seconds the fallback starts, that's great and exactly what I want. However, I start the stream again and have to wait about 5 minutes for the fallback to

Icecast logging
Hi Guys, My first post here so hello to all :-)) Anyway, my question: Does anybody know if there is a tool out there that can process the icecast log files and return a graph of listener numbers over a set period? I'd like to be able to know when our most busiest time was. Thanks very much in advance, Andy
