When I attempted to "rpm -i samba3-3.0.0-1.1mdk.src.rpm" this morning on my Mandrake 9.2 box, I got an unusual message that doesn't make sense. It said, over and over (thirteen times total): WARNING: user bgmilne does not exist - using root When it went back to root prompt, I did an "updatedb", but nothing for "samba-3" is found when I did the urpmi request. Any ideas? I wrote an email that bounced to Mr Milne, and don't know what else to investigate Eric

Hi, What is out there in terms of SIP enabled handsfree speakerphones? Looking for something that works well and also fits a low budget. I am used to using a Cisco 7940. Hi, I have a box running Mandrake 8.2 and samba 2.2.4 on an NT domain. smbpasswd -j says it joins the domain ok, I use the included sys-auth-windbind file for pam, and the winbind entries are in nsswitch.conf. I've got a Samba box (2.2.5a) as a member of a Samba domain. Both the PDC and client are running 2.4.18 with XFS and ACLs compiled in. Problem: on the client, I can -NOT- modify the ACLs for files from Windows. (Note that I can modify the stock Unix permissions, but not the extended users/permissions that ACL support offers.)
