Problem with smbmount and smbfs
I'm not sure if this has already be answered, but when I try to mount something using smbmount I get an error that smbfs needs mount version 6. I am running kernel 2.2.16-3 I was running 2.2.14-5.0 and I was still having the same problem. Is there a fix to this. Or is it a bug. I have not been able to find any documentation on the exact problem, just other people with the same problem.

Experimental 6502 backend; memory operand folding problem
Greetings, LLVM devs, For the past few weeks, I have been putting together a 6502 backend for LLVM. The 6502 and its derivatives, of course, have powered countless microcomputers, game consoles and arcade machines over the past 40 years. The backend is just an experimental hobby project right now. The code is available here: <https://github.com/beholdnec/llvm-m6502>. This branch introduces a target called "m6502", which can be used in llc to compile some ve...

Linux+samba replacement for NT
Hello all: We are on our way to do it. We recently got a new machine(Dual PII400) and we have installed Linux and samba ( latest kernel relese and latest samba). I was reading the NT domain FAQ and trying to setup the server such that NT workstation clients can autheticate from Samba server using smbpasswd. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. I am making Samba + Linux as our PDC. I could

Samba Domain Emu
Hi I have read that Samba can emulate an NT Domain. Is this still possible? I dont see much about it listed anymore. Is it still supported in 2.2.8a. Does anyone have any information concerning this? We would like our version to do this so we can do some testing with one of our NetApp 880's. -- Thank you TJ _________________________________ Steven ?Todd? Johnson State of Alaska Dept.

Samba 3.0.14a Not restoring connections - Help ??
Hello- When our users log off for the evening and log back in in the morning they are having to re-enter the SMB password for the network shares they had saved when mapping them. In the past when the local username and password matched the smbpasswd file then all connections restored w/o a hitch. Its now not working. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? Below is my small smb.conf file

Samba And and NetApp Filer
I need some help. I can map the NetApp filer, but when I do a 'ls' in the directory I get errors. Saying that the file or directory does not exist and I know the directories and files do, you can see them when you map the NetApp with NT. If you know the name of the directory you can change into it. I can also map NT with samba just fine with no problems. The NetApp is running a CIFS server

3.0.8/3.0.9 printing tdb entries not clearing
Hi all, We have a strange issue with printing tdb entries not clearing. From what I can tell, this may be an issue on Solaris (5.9) but not on Linux (2.4.18) - I have 3.0.8 (and since last night .9) on a linux server and a solaris one. I don't see the problem on print queues hosted on the linux box. The symptom is that you can print from both XP and 98 and the print job appears on the

The perils of GMAX
gmax won't start up after the initial time. The messages I am getting indicate that it has become case sensitive with respect to names. The installer put in a directory named 'stdplugs' but the program wanted it to be 'StdPlugs'. So I renamed it. It still says these libraries fail to initialize. I must be missing a windows module but I did put in the recommended winetricks
