No... You just managed to update your kernel to a newer version
and failed to update smbmount. That message is generated from the OLD
smbfs version of smbmount. You need the smbmount from the Samba package.
There was a major change in the smbfs/smbmount interface that resulted
in and incompatibility. This actually occured quite some time ago, so
I would guess you are running an older distribution, RedHat 5.2 or older.
