Data import error: duplicate "row.names"
...1, 2, 3,..., 13), it was
still returning the same error message "duplicate 'row.names' are not
allowed" to me. I have tried using "row.names=NULL", but it returned
the column names as well.
Does anyone know what the problem was? Thanks

Is there any way around it?
I'd appreciate mostly a solution to problem 1.

How to do the same thing for all levels of a column?
...I write a script to do the same thing for the other two levels
(T and R) in column 3, and also do this for every column that contains
amino acid residues?
Many thanks for any help you could give me on this topic! :)

questions about "Cusum"
Dear friends:
I have just read an article entitled " Monitoring of nosocomial invasive aspergillosis and early evidence of an outbreak using cumulative sum tests (CUSUM)", which is published in "Clinical Microbiology and Infection". We have great need to estimate the fluctuation of incidence of IFI in our hospital. But I don't know the details of the stastical method and don't know where can I get a "Cusum" package. Can you give me some materials about Cusum test? An example is more appr...

Using bold font with bquote
I'm trying to annotate a density plot and I'm using bquote to paste the sigma symbol next
to the numeric text of the standard deviation calculation that I am performing.
I have been able to successfully turn the sigma symbol and numeric output the color blue,
but when I try to change the font of the text to bold, R doesn't seem to recognize the "font="
