FW: Error messaage
I am running v2.2.8a running between Linux RedHat 7.2 and Windows 2000.
When I copy and paste a unique file name from win to Linux I get the
error: Would you like to replace the existing file.
Why am I getting the error when the file doesn't exist.
PS I have little experience with Samba.
Thanks,
Simon

validates_associated / error_messages_for
When a validates_asssociated fails...
I get something like
Address is invalid
is there a way, preferably on a per-association basis to have the error
messaage include
the actual error like
Zipcode is too long (max is 10 characters)

Problem with compile
Hi!
I have a problem compiling v2.0 of dovecot mail server on one old server
running RHEL 3.
This is error messaage I get (googled for it and have not found anything
useful):

I would also check where the "... is not portable!" messaage is generated.
If it's done by the configure script, you can look at the test to give
you a hint as to why this message was generated.
For my setup, I did much the same as you but didn't have to set
the SSL_CFLAGS, SSL_LIBS environment variables, nor did I set the
--with-ssldir configure option (although your setup may

Sloppy argument checking for named arguments
Christian --
This is not a bug, but a feature, and the dot is not the issue here. R uses
partial argument matching on function arguments.
So:
> f <- function(foobar = 0){print(foobar)}
> f
function(foobar = 0){print(foobar)}
>
> f(fo=1)
[1] 1
> f(foo=1)
[1] 1

[1] 1
> f(fooba=1)
[1] 1
> f(foon=1)
Error in f(foon = 1) : unused argument(s) (foon ...)

New related issue.
I upgraded the Domain Controller from 4.8.2 to 4.18.9 about 90 days ago, and set
the 'Maximum password age' to 90 days. Today, two of the users' passwords were
expired when they tried to log in this morning. They got the messaage that their
password was expired and to change it, but when doing so they keep getting "your
password has expired."

Plotmath on Fedora 31 broken with with pango >= 1.44 - workarounds?
Paul et al,
I will try to do this tonight or tomorrow, though it will not be built with
th system tools because I have yet to get that tto work locally (spent a
good chunk of this morning trying).
I will send a separate messaage regarding those difficulties as well so
that we can at least confirm that they are due to a malconfiguration on my
part.
Best,

Help in E1-T1 encoding
I have an asterisk with a TE110P configured as T1 which is behind a PSTN
gateway. This gateway has an E1 to PSTN and a T1 to asterisk. This T1 is
configured as Network and * as CPE.
Every call I receive in E1 gateway is directly switched to asterisk using
T1. Remember E1 is alaw. Both E1 and T1 have Natural Microsystems boards
with a very simple software.
When I call to E1 asterisk signalling

PDC error; can not open passdb database
I am looking to setup a domain server. I have tried and tried and this is the closest I have gotten so far.
The main problem I have is in the user authentication. I am getting an error that the user or password is wrong. Currently it looks like Samba can not access the passwd file. What is this file?
My log for the client give this error:

Plotmath on Fedora 31 broken with with pango >= 1.44 - workarounds?
Hi Paul,
So I've run the tests (and am attaching all numerous pdfs here) but the
takeaway from what I can see is as follows:
raw, without specifying font family, "look good" (see plot*raw.pdf) from
your branch (my eye is upset by the positioning of the phi symbol in plot2,
but I've confirmed that it looks the same generated from 3.5.1, so
that isn't your branch).

Plotmath on Fedora 31 broken with with pango >= 1.44 - workarounds?
Hi
The R branch ...
https://svn.r-project.org/R/branches/R-symfam/
... is now set up so that it works "out of the box" on Fedora by setting
the default to be 'symbolfamily=cairoSymbolFont(family, usePUA=FALSE)'
when grSoftVersion()["pango"] is greater than "1.44".
This means that on Fedora 31 (at least on the Docker container I am
testing on)
