I have installed wine on my mepis 8.0 desktop and laptop. Wine runs Netscaper Navigator on the desktop but not on the laptop. Why??? (newbie asking). I'm on the desktop now asking the question---

Just loaded Wine on my new comp which is 64bit. I now have MEPIS 8 and am trying to load PS7 (not a crack). It doesn't seem to acknowledge any .exe files. How can I get it to load? Thanks Tony

Running dialogs.rb and immediately exiting doesn''t segfault, but bringing up a dialog and then exiting does. PageMaker was running OK (except duplex printing wrong) on 0.9 wines. With RC1 & RC3 (didn't try RC2) PageMaker starts to open, cycles my scanner (???), and quits. I went back to 0.9.61-1 all is well again. Any thoughts? I did a reinstall of PM, but it had no effect.

CentOS 4.3 (fully updated, including CentOS Plus kernel). Running KDE 3.5.2 (fully updated from redhat.kde repo). I can't seem to get the OS to recognize my SD card when inserted into my USB card reader. Mepis 6 Beta 3 has no problem with it. DMESG sees nothing happening when the card is inserted. I am running linux MEPIS 8 and have been having problems getting smithmicro quicklink mobile to work with wine. It installs fine and runs fine but no USB support will not detect my blackberry to use as a modem and alltel/verizon has no plans (nor does smithmicro) to make a linux version of this any one have any ideas?
