Sparc?
My 12 year old wants to learn more about servers and has memorized a lot of commands like ls, chmod, du, etc. He wants to have his own domain and server on the web and I have enough Static IP's, so why not foster this interest. I have an old ultra sparc 5. Are there any CentOS versions that support Sparc? Or recommendations? I know OpenBSD does, but I am more versed in Solaris and versions

Identifying objects within BumpPtrAllocator.
In various debug dumps (eg., Clang's -ast-dump), various objects (eg., Stmts and Decls in that -ast-dump) are identified by pointers. It's very reliable in the sense that no two objects would ever have the same pointer at the same time, but it's unpleasant that pointers change across runs. Having deterministic identifiers instead of pointers would aid debugging: imagine a

Setting up 'cervisia'
Aargh, I'm about to give up. Is there someone who knows how to setup Cervisia on SuSE 9.3? I installed the one bundled with it, but somehow it refuses to produce any traffic whatsoever (I checked with 'iptraf'). No surprise I can't connect to the NUT CVS server. I'm able to use CVS by commandline (ssh keys are uploaded and I no longer have to enter a password, so this works

[cfe-dev] Identifying objects within BumpPtrAllocator.
This is a great idea! I personally also wouldn't mind going further in debug builds and actually create and store sequential IDs with the objects and take the small memory hit for improved debuggability. The `PersistentId` field in SelectionDAG works that way and has helped make the output more readable IMO. - Matthias > On Aug 28, 2018, at 5:22 PM, George Karpenkov via llvm-dev

adduser vs. useradd
Hi, To add a user to the system on the commandline, I usually use the adduser command. # adduser newuser And that's it. I've been using that command probably out of an old habit, since I've been a long-time Slackware user before. But now I wanted to dig a bit deeper, and some details puzzle me. Whereas on Slackware, 'adduser' is an interactive shell script to create a

For someone that's network-aware, but hasn't sat down and plowed through umpteen SIP-related RFC's and memorized the standards, is there a good primer on troubleshooting SIP issues? I'm seeing a lot of NOTIFY/603 messages on my network between Asterisk and my Sipura 942's, for instance... Not sure what these are... perhaps the qualify keepalives? In which case, I guess

domain reinitalization detection
Hello I'm trying to find out how to detect if domain was destroyed and brought up between two time moments, let's call it reads. So far the best approach I could find is to compare domain ID from previous and current read. And this is my first question : is that reliable solution ? Or do you know any better ? And related question is how to resolve virDomainPtr into domain ID ? The

how to flush user input before READ()
Hi how to flush user input before READ()? I wrote a small script to ask for user password before granting access to outside, but some telefones memorize the full user input, including "#". So, when the user press redial, for instance 5556789#123, asterisk accepts the number and the password "123" and gives access to the outside word to whomever redials that terminal. Any
