Hi,
I am trying to get samba to work over a pptp link to win9x boxes.
I have the pptp link working, but I am unable to get at the shares.
Could someone point me in the direction of documentation about the best
way to set this up.
Thanks

the result is as follows:
> library(RMySQL)
> con <- dbConnect(MySQL(), dbname= "test")
Error: couldn''t find function "dbConnect"

fatal: PRNG initialisation failed
Heya,
I have compiled and installed OpenSSH on a Solaris/Sparc machine and
whenever I try to start any of the ssh programs I get
"fatal: PRNG initialisation failed -- exiting"
Now, I have looked through the mailing lists and have seen some mention
that this indicates it can't open the ssh_prng_cmds file, which
entropy.c also seems to indicate the problem is. However, this snippet

Recently I noticed something rather "insecure" about the slackware 3.4

Unbootable machine
Hello Peter & Jeremy,
I've found an ordinary desktop PC (with Phoenix Award BIOS 6.00PG) that
won't boot off a USB stick created by livecd-tools-024 with syslinux
(tested both versions 3.75 and 3.81).
The boot process drops to the "boot:" prompt with an error message:
could not find kernel image: linux
The same USB stick boots fine on any other computer I could find.

Meaning... it actually won't require Thunderbird to implement anything
(at least painful) to allow it to make use of it?

I'm very new to Linux and especially Dovecot.
We are using Dovecot IMAP/POP3 for mail services.
I was moving mail from one user account to another new account and the mail
just disappeared.
Do I have a way to recover the mail?
Please help

would seem desirable to count downwards as stock ssh does, rather than
upwards.
What is the reasoning behind this decision?

"Could not find mime-type"
After a two-week holiday I've just updated my server. I have a message from
kcontrol - "Could not find mime type application/octet-stream". A .png
thumbnail on the desktop isn't displaying, but apart from that I don't have
much of a clue what has happened. Nothing seems to appear in messages. Any
help, please?
