crystal reports under wine
...problem I am currently having is with the print engine itself and is
probably nothing to do with printing;
Page fault on trying to access 0x00000000 in
CRPE32.DLL.Prompt3DViewAngle (which I presume is bought in by Crystal
from 3dgraphics)
The dll is either version 8.0.0.371 or 8.0.0.392

DLL at fixed location and memory sharing between executables
...Under Wine (the way I currently have it set up) the second executable
increments it from zero to 1.
This indicates to me that the executables are actually running in some sort
of separate virtual machines.
Is there any way for me to configure Wine so that both processes use the
same memory?

Help with fonts
...Can anyone tell me how I can look at a particular ttf file and
see what characters are in it (so that I can see if it has a \
that looks like a W)
B. Can anyone tell me how, given a font (selected through
xfontsel), I can find out what is implementing it (e.g. which
ttf file it is in).

I am testing by trying to print from notepad.
I have got as far (after too many hours!!) as the following when I select

Multiple Linux users, and wine?
Hey guys,
I've got two Linux user accounts: foo and bar. AFAIK, both have identical .wine directories, that both point to the same fake dos drive.
User 'foo' is able to run Quicken in wine, but user 'bar' is not. (I don't recall the exact error, but it was pretty non-descript.)
Does Wine support this kind of thing? My ultimate goal is that, regardless of whether user

Can I run windows console (command line) applications using WINE
Hi,
I understand Windows UI applications can run in Linux using wine.
1. Can I run console/command line applications also?
2. If yes, a how can a shell script running on Linux invoke the
console/command line application. (A sample would be great)
Thanks,
Susheel

Setting Regional Settings without setting the locale
...ot do.
Is there any way that the client can set registry settings so that Wine will
behave as if under Spanish regional settings but the unixODBC and Linux IBM
DB2 driver won't?
(Note that the client isn't trying to set up the whole computer as Spanish,
just this program)
TIA

About Apps developed in Windows That use native ODBC's
Hi there....
I'd like to know how to use WINE with applications developed in Windows that
use net components (such as ODBC clients)......For example:
I developed an application in VB6, and it uses an Oracle ODBC conexion
(previously I installed the Oracle client). Hot do I use it in Wine?
- Do I need to emulate the Oracle ODBC Client for Windows?
- If I got a Native Linux ODBC conexion,

Installing wine rpm - failed dependencies??
I am running SuSE 8.0 (waiting for 9.2). I have a windows application I wanted to run using wine. It ran fairly well then locked up on the old wine release that came with SuSE 8.0. Thought I should get the latest wine so downloaded the current wine for Suse 8.0 from winehq.com. I first ran Yast and removed the presently installed wine. I put the new rpm in /root and logged in as root then

Flags Ignored
Hi
I'd like to know what does "flags ignored" mean. I'm confronted to this
error (type err:fixme:ShellExeExecuteW32) when i try to launch Steinberg
Wavleab via wine 20041019 (from scratch on debian 3.1 emulating
installed win98) with kernel 2.6.9
I saw that software running under SuSE 9.1 (with latest wine's RPM
package for this distrib). This is the only error i get.

MySQL ODBC stub
The wine odbc stub (odbc32.dll) has a environment variable to point to unix
odbc driver:
LIB_ODBC_DRIVER_MANAGER=/usr/lib/libodbc.so.1
Is there a stub to use MySQL ODBC driver:
/usr/lib/libmyodbc3.so.1 ?
I have an application that uses the MySQL ODBC driver and I coul not install
the native driver :
mysql-connector-odbc-3.51.12-win32.msi

Adding a dir to PATH without using regedit (for an NFS install)
Hello Wine users,
I've installed Wine 0.9.32 into an NFS-mounted dir
on a RHEL 3 machine and it seems to work fine -
I've even modified the /nfs_path/wine/bin/wineprefixcreate,
so that an additional dir (c:/Perl) is created under ~/.wine
for each user (by mere linking to /nfs_path/Perl)
My problem is that currently each user of my Wine-installation
has to run "wine regedit"

Registry entries
Can anyone point me at a good doc on farting about with the registry?
Or do you feel like giving me the fool's guide?
I have large tracts of registry entries to stuff in, and adding them via
Edit/new in regedit is an absolute PITA and unworkably slow.
I have files from exported from a win98 registry (via windoze regedit)
with the correct info.
I need to add because programs are not finding

Which is the second best package to use?
Hi.
I'm working back to find out where a bug crept in. I'm using Red
Hat Enterprise Linux 4. The bug is present in the Centos 0.9.2.
There were no 0.9.1 and 0.9.0 Centos builds. Any idea which
would be a second best build to use? One of the FCs?

winelib setup problem
Any chance of some help please?
I have just started trying to get WineLib working on my machine, after
playing with wine for several months.
I am starting slowly. The BASIC hello, world. (no graphics, no Microsoft
etc)
I run winemaker and configure (with -L/usr/local/lib)
make generates

processes don't die
I can't even think how to search winehq for this one.
I have been running Wine successfully one one machine for ages. without
problems.
I am setting up a fresh machine. On that machine when I run the same
application it leaves a whole load of copies of wine processes running when
the application shuts down.
I can't see any obvious differences in the config.
Does anyone have any
