Win2000 - Very Slow opening files from Samba Share
...Excel file from one of the Shared Samba drives for example it takes about 2 minutes to open. The same file only takes a couple of seconds to open from the local C drive. Are there some settings I need to set in the SMB.CONF file to cope with the mirroring. I hope someone out there can help. Tony McArthur

...hing on this searching the Web. My initial thoughts are to take a location that doesn't need an https service and run a tinc node just for relaying on port 443. Can I just port forward from 443 to 655 or should I create a new second host on the same machine. Any guidance is appreciated. filefrag and btrfs filesystem defragment and maybe snapshots
...e: 1079 extents found Did I actually improve these files? I do have a number rolling readonly snapshots on the subvolume these files are on. I can imagine how that might be related but I''m not sure. Export Step Function Coefficients to Spreadsheet or Text File
Hello, After I use the lm() function to perform a multiple linear regression, and then use the step function to eliminate variables that predict the weakest, I need to export the final equation to a spreadsheet or a text file. Below is some sample code. In the end I want to export the coefficients to a spreadsheet. Will you please direct me to the appropriate syntax? Thanks for your time, --Eric

OT(slightly) - Tracking extended projects
Hi all, Most of the analyses I do are short little once-and-done type things that are easily encapsulated in a .Rnw file. However, I sometimes end up with projects that take an extended amount of time. Usually these projects are not easily encapsulated in an .Rnw file, so I have been using a single .R file with lots of comments. The problem with this approach is keeping track of what you have

[LLVMdev] Web Site Re-Design
I offered to do the web site a couple of weeks ago. Life got in the way temporarily, and it took me a long time to make it look the way that I wanted and to make it look the same in IE6. Anyway, I wanted to get some feedback on what I had done. Some concerns: 1. SSI and JavaScript seem like overkill. Each subproject can have their own look and feel by overriding the CSS

[LLVMdev] GSOC - HLVM Work
.... I would like to contribute even if I don't get accepted, so please just supply me a direction, and I will gladly go there. Please feel free to send me on cleanups or directions to places in the code that are helpful starting places, if you feel that would be helpful. Sincerely, -Gabe McArthur P.S. Some of my background/interests: * I have familiarity with Lex, Yacc, and the java equivalents Jflex and Cup. I also have a book on Antlr I'm trying to get into. * This is my first large-scale coding/code reading attempt -- I found the GCC (and large projects in C in general)...

Tinc and OpenWRT
Greetings. I'm new to tinc, but have so far managed to get a couple laptops and a hosted server all connected. They're working as expected, running Tinc 1.1-pre11, which I compiled from source. Next I want to move on to adding my home router into the mix. My routers run OpenWRT. I don't have experience compiling anything from source for OpenWRT, but OpenWRT has Tinc 1.0.25
