can't build from source: error: template with C linkage
Hi All, Users have contacted me because they can not build MCMCglmm from source. All are using R 3.3.0 on various machines with different compilers gcc (Ubuntu 5.4.0-6ubuntu1~16.04.2) 5.4.0 g++ (Ubuntu 4.8.4-2ubuntu1~14.04.3) 4.8.4 Mac OS X El Capitan (version/compiler unspecified) The issue seems to be with mixing C/C++ with the repeated error: /usr/include/c++/5/bits/cpp_type_traits.h:118:3:

can't build from source: error: template with C linkage
This looks like the result of including a C++ system header inside an extern "C" block. There is no evidence of this happening in the current version 2.22.1. However, it did happen in the previous version 2.22 via the chain of inclusions: MCMCglmmcc.h -> cs.h -> R.h -> various C++ system headers See Writing R Extensions P 108. I would check that the people reporting this bug

OpenSwan Drop Out Issue
As I said though, there's no lost ICMP packets, even when the IPSec tunnel drops out. I do notice a lot of these errors in the secure log though, would this be any indication of a problem? (I'm grepping for this specific error, they're not the only messages in there). Feb 11 14:18:10 site-a pluto[10450]: "site-b/1x1" #803: ignoring Delete SA payload: PROTO_IPSEC_ESP

Dovecot CalDAV server
I've been once in a while over the years thinking about implementing CalDAV (and CardDAV) to Dovecot. It might be time to start that soon. Does anyone have any suggestions? So far my main goals would be: - scalable, of course - configurable storage (object storage, regular fs, maybe some key-value dbs, maybe storing as emails) - efficient indexes (potentially using key-value dbs? or maybe

OpenSwan Drop Out Issue
Well. Centos 5 is really near of it's end of life. There is not much updates to kernel or openswan. You should at least try latest openswan version. Your issue looks like a bit network problem. -- Eero 2016-02-10 8:34 GMT+02:00 John Cenile <jcenile1983 at gmail.com>: > So lowering the keylife / ikelifetime didn't solve the problem. yp dir
Hi All, Maybe a strange question, is there any info or maybe even an template for setting up an yp directory! The idea to set one up for local purpuses like: espescially dutch languages would be nice! Maybe an extra setting in the stream clients to also give in the language and maybe even country of orgin of the content could be any help with that, could be a nice extra search option too for

problem in testing data with e1071 package (SVM Multiclass)
Hello all, this is the first time I'm using R and e1071 package and SVM multiclass (and I'm not a statistician)! I'm very confused, then. The goal is: I have a sentence with sunny; it will be classified as "yes" sentence; I have a sentence with cloud, it will be classified as "maybe"; I have a sentence with rainy il will be classified as "no". SPEEX and OPUS questions and minor issues
I recently stumbled upon <speex/speex_resampler.h> and made a chain of discoveries: - "http://speex.org/downloads" some links are broken ("rarewares" and git) - there is some (minor) development (whitespace and more) of the "dead" Speex codec ... will there be a release? (I don't really need such myself) - there is some (more useful?) development of the

Is it possible to use Samba as a proxy and cache for a slow CIFS drive ?
Hi all, we have special scenario with a slow file share where Samba (maybe combined with other tools) could help by acting like as a CIFS proxy and caching system: We're testing an Alfresco ECM System which has a CIFS subsystem (based on jLAN) that is simply to slow for our needs. In this setup the appserver Alfresco (SUSE on vmwars ESXi) and the clients are on a local LAN with Gb Ethernet

interesting stats pattern
Hey all, im experimenting with dovecot stats service, and graphing the result. My initial results are kind of interesting. Check out this graph showing connected sessions and users: http://grab.by/dReu At first I thought maybe one of our 35 imap servers was having issues sending data, but all individual servers show this patters. Here is a bunch of individual servers: http://grab.by/dReC

Dovecot Wiki: Please disable edit on double click
Hi Aki, could you maybe disable the 'edit on doubleclick' feature on wiki2.dovecot.org? Everytime I try to select a word by double clicking on it, I end up in editing mode. It's just a minor thing, but maybe I'm not the only one who's annoyed by this ;) Thanks! Michael

[PATCH nbdkit v3 0/5] filters: stats: More useful, more friendly
This is the third attempt to make the stats filter better. This time I kept the changes minimal to make it eaier to make progress. I tried the idea of showing global stats in separate "total" section, but it became messy and hard to implemnt, so I tried the simpler solution of showing both operation rate and total rate in the operation line. CRAN + geography = Cranography
In response to an earlier discussion about finding the fastest/best/nearest CRAN site, I geocoded (using my geonames package) the locations of the CRAN sites returned by getCRANmirrors. I've mapped them here: http://www.maths.lancs.ac.uk/~rowlings/R/Cranography/ The geocoding may have got it wrong, so if CRAN site maintainers want to send me a real lat-long (in WGS 84 aka EPSG:4326) I'll
