can't build from source: error: template with C linkage
Hi All, Users have contacted me because they can not build MCMCglmm from source. All are using R 3.3.0 on various machines with different compilers gcc (Ubuntu 5.4.0-6ubuntu1~16.04.2) 5.4.0 g++ (Ubuntu 4.8.4-2ubuntu1~14.04.3) 4.8.4 Mac OS X El Capitan (version/compiler unspecified) The issue seems to be with mixing C/C++ with the repeated error: /usr/include/c++/5/bits/cpp_type_traits.h:118:3:

Dovecot CalDAV server
I've been once in a while over the years thinking about implementing CalDAV (and CardDAV) to Dovecot. It might be time to start that soon. Does anyone have any suggestions? So far my main goals would be: - scalable, of course - configurable storage (object storage, regular fs, maybe some key-value dbs, maybe storing as emails) - efficient indexes (potentially using key-value dbs? or maybe just local files. not sure yet what kind of indexing is needed) - have it work with dsync (= replication & migration) Some things I wonder about: - Maybe there is already some code o...

OpenSwan Drop Out Issue
Well. Centos 5 is really near of it's end of life. There is not much updates to kernel or openswan. You should at least try latest openswan version. Your issue looks like a bit network problem. -- Eero 2016-02-10 8:34 GMT+02:00 John Cenile <jcenile1983 at gmail.com>: > So lowering the keylife / ikelifetime didn't solve the problem. Cucumber - step negating another expecting step
...simple case, but what do you think about this? any blog > post or so Yeah this is an annoying one isn''t it. I sometimes get around it by going old-skool and pulling out the Test::Unit assertion methods instead: Then /^I (should|should not) see the people search form$/ do | maybe| has_matching_tags = current_dom.css(''form#frmSearch'').length > 0 assert has_matching_tags == (maybe == "should") end I think that would work. It''s shorter, but is it much easier to understand? Matt Wynne http://blog.mattwynne.net http:...

problem in testing data with e1071 package (SVM Multiclass)
..., this is the first time I'm using R and e1071 package and SVM multiclass (and I'm not a statistician)! I'm very confused, then. The goal is: I have a sentence with sunny; it will be classified as "yes" sentence; I have a sentence with cloud, it will be classified as "maybe"; I have a sentence with rainy il will be classified as "no". The true goal is to do some text classification to apply then for my research. I have two files: * train.csv: a file where there are two columns/Variables one is the data, the other is the label Example: |V1 V...

can't find the error in if function... maybe i'm blind?

Is it possible to use Samba as a proxy and cache for a slow CIFS drive ?
Hi all, we have special scenario with a slow file share where Samba (maybe combined with other tools) could help by acting like as a CIFS proxy and caching system: We're testing an Alfresco ECM System which has a CIFS subsystem (based on jLAN) that is simply to slow for our needs. In this setup the appserver Alfresco (SUSE on vmwars ESXi) and the clients are on a loc...

interesting stats pattern
Hey all, im experimenting with dovecot stats service, and graphing the result. My initial results are kind of interesting. Check out this graph showing connected sessions and users: http://grab.by/dReu At first I thought maybe one of our 35 imap servers was having issues sending data, but all individual servers show this patters. Here is a bunch of individual servers: http://grab.by/dReC Anyone have any idea what could cause such a pattern? Maybe dovecot does some cleaning up of idle sessions at specific intervals? Or...

Problems installing packages with R 3.2.0 on Linux Mint 17.1
...I feel this strong urge to mention | that install.packages("sem") works fine on Debian squeeze (g++ 4.4.5), wheezy | (g++ 4.7.2) and jessie (g++ 4.9.2) using the R backport from CRAN... +1 As the messages all come from compilation, methinks something is wrong with the compiler setup. Maybe icc got added, maybe gcc got broken, maybe something else you did not tell us. But the default toolchains on the systems we stand behind all work. Dovecot Wiki: Please disable edit on double click
Hi Aki, could you maybe disable the 'edit on doubleclick' feature on wiki2.dovecot.org? Everytime I try to select a word by double clicking on it, I end up in editing mode. It's just a minor thing, but maybe I'm not the only one who's annoyed by this ;) Thanks! Michael

winbind warnings filling up syslog

My smb.conf hasn't changed (much) in ages, and it works/worked fine for whatever "I do with it". Maybe it needs tuning, maybe not. Maybe I don't need to run winbin at all, that's not the point. It's when my company bought some other company and the internal IT did something to integrate their domain into ours, that winbind started spitting those lines. Maybe the AD is misconfigured, b...

CRAN + geography = Cranography
...package) the locations of the CRAN sites returned by getCRANmirrors. I've mapped them here: http://www.maths.lancs.ac.uk/~rowlings/R/Cranography/ The geocoding may have got it wrong, so if CRAN site maintainers want to send me a real lat-long (in WGS 84 aka EPSG:4326) I'll update my map. Maybe eventually lat-long can go in the CRAN csv file distributed with R. Note this is just for fun. No warranties. Maybe I should use a little 'R' as a marker. Maybe I should get a life. Barry
