-1 and friends
Yo All!
Well I work on a diverse number of OS's with a diverse number of
clients. Some use F-Secure, SecureCRT, PuTTY, SSH.COM. OpenSSH, etc.
with a wide variety of versions between each, some from source,
some from rpms, etc... Basically a lot of legacy stuff that no one
has the time to update.
In fact I am working on a couple of OpenSSH config problems in the
last few days. Sometimes we

Tukey's one degree of freedom for nonadditivity?
Is there code available to decompose interactions involving at least
one nominal factor with more than 2 levels as described, e.g., by Tukey
or by Mandel (1971, Technometrics, 13: 1-18)?
Tukey's model:
E(y[i,j]) = mu0 + a[i] + b[j] + c*a[i]*b[j],
estimating a, b, and c so sum(a) = sum(b)= 0. Mandel essentially
describes a singular value decomposition of the interaction.
Thanks,

Legality of copying from Splus.
A few days ago, I sent a question to the r-help list enquiring
about the
*** LEGALITY ***
of porting a function from Splus into R. As a particular example,
I referred to error.bar.
Several people posted code for various versions of error.bar which
they had written, but that was NOT WHAT I WAS ASKING FOR/ABOUT!!!
[Can't anybody ***read*** these days?]
I asked: IS IT
