Question about multiple regression
...=700 but thousands and
thousands of them.
I am designing a simulation in R and running those regressions and R
itself is way too slow. So, I am thinking of compiling the regression
run itself in Fortran and Java and then calling it from R.
Thank you very much for any advice!

rbind data frames stored in a list
...I most effectively transform X into a data frame with columns
a, b, and c?
I would love to find a generic solution, and not a specific solution
like this one:
frame<-rbind(X[[1]],X[[2]],X[[3]])
...because in reality I have a lot of elements of X.
Thank you very much!

Producing customized tickmarks when producing a graph using "curve"
...t; the default tick marks
and introduce those tick marks in specific locations.
For example, currently in my X axis tick marks are (automatically) at
10, 11, 12, 13 but I want them to be in 5 specific locations, like
9.89, 10.34, etc.
Any hint would be greatly appreciated!

Analogy for %in% for the whole columns (rather than individual values)
...a$x<-as.character(a$x)
a$y<-as.character(a$y)
a$equal<-NA
for(i in 1:nrow(a)) {a[i,3]<-a[i,1] %in% a[i,2]}
I was wondering if one can do it faster, without doing it row-by-row
as I did it. Maybe there is a faster way to compare 2 columns?
Thank you very much!

bars with actual numbers), add grids, etc.?
Thanks a lot!

Random Forests: Question about R^2
...ow exactly R^2
is calculated?
Is "mse" mean squared error for prediction?
Is "mse" an average of mse's for all trees run on out-of-bag holdout samples?
In other words - is this R^2 based on out-of-bag samples?
Thank you very much for clarification!

interaction.plot - gridlines and formatting legend title...
...So, I was wondering if it is
at all possible to:
1. Create gridlines in an interaction.plot
2. Define the font type of the legend title (e.g., regular vs. bold as
in font=2)
3. Put actual values (on Y) next to each point in the graph.
Thank you so much for your advice!
