Maquerading through IPSECed wireless dropping packets selectively?
Hello, I''m stuck IPSECing my wireless network at home and would appreciate any comments. I appologize in advance if I''m wasting your time with trivia - I''m not a professional and staring at the problem for days from various angles hasn''t done me any good ... My home server/firewall (morannon) is hooked up through an USB to ethernet adapter (eth1) to my DSL

CDR changes in 1.4.3?
Hey, I just found this in ML archives. I have pretty the same situation - i had very well written CDR processing engine on asterisk, making use of ResetCDRs, however now when we're migrating to 1.4, it's a bit pain to deal with extra CDR records. My engine is built so that MYSQL CDR can be used directly for reports (imagine - you get whatever report you need immediately). So, this way i

iptables marking and NAT issue
Hello all, It appears that, for some reason I have thus far failed to understand when you use marking in iptables you then run into troubles if you attempt to do NAT (MAQUERADE). Let me describe this in more detail. We are attempting to use a network test environment named ATCD running it on a CentOS VM under VirtualBox. For more into on ATCD see: https://github.com/facebook/augmented-traffic-control The networking inside the VirtualBox environment is private so at so...

Nbfw, Cross-subnet browsing
...amba on a linux masquerading firewall/router. It works pretty well. I was wondering if there was plan to include this patch in samba (or TNG) I was also wondering if there was any way to use this as a mean to do cross-subnet browsing efficient. The paradox is that browsing works better between a maqueraded network and a class C net (with nbfw) than between two class C subnet (with simple router, no masquerading and no nbfw) Thanks -- Fabrice Gautier <gautier@email.enstfr>

Hi, I'm trying to build a vpn between two hosts with valid IP address. One maquerades the private network 192.168.1.0/24, the other masquerades 10.101.0.0/24. Configuration files and routes seem to be ok. I'm getting the following on beta: Could not set up a meta connection to alpha: Ago 5 17:56:24 Viatel01 tinc.nextel[16355]: Trying to re-establish outgoing connection in 24...

Balancing multiple connections and NAT
Hi, I have a client connected to the ''net through 3 ISP''s. Have set up a Linux box to do routing and load sharing for the 3 connections. A fourth interface is connected to the LAN with private IP addresses. Am using iptables to SNAT traffic to the appropriate IP depending on the interface the packet gets routed onto. The setup looks something like this: Interface IP

CDR changes in 1.4.3?
Hello all: I upgraded to 1.4.3 last night and use MySQL for CDR. I have noticed that 1.4.3 seems to log a lot of "crap" to CDR that 1.4.2 did not. I use a few macros in my dialplan to handle outgoing calls (lcr type stuff) and in addition to the proper CDR for the call itself I also have records to 's' in the same dest-context and entries to 's' in the default context.
