FLAC: headphones
...ooking for a high quality headphone to connect to my Pocket PC, but it must be an in-ear one but not like these: http://s7d1.scene7.com/is/image/vanns/770045336?$medium_item$ So no plastic things must be inserted to the ears, it must be a flat surface to put in your ears like these ones: http://www.maplin.co.uk/images/Full/a22fn.jpg . So I'm looking for a brand and type of headphones that will give extreme good audio quality (possibly the best audio quality you can reach using in-ear headphones) for playing lossless music files. BTW: I'm not looking for these type of headphones ( http://ww...

OT: Grandstream power supplies..
Hi, Quick question to all the electronics gurus out there.. I unpacked my second GS phone yesterday (had it for about a month!) and set it up.. This morning the power supply is dead.. I have looked for a new one online (In the UK using Maplin let me know if you know a better place.) becasue it would probbaly take too long to get one sent from China or the US and I need to get that station operational again.. There seem to be many choices for power supplies.. Looking on the bottom of the broken one it is a 5VDC 400mA output.. When I loo...

TDM400P > BT
Hi folks, Any Brits on the list got experience of hooking devices with standard BT plugs to the TDM400P? The TDM400P has the RJ11/RJ45 socket but I'm not sure if a standard adapter will do the trick or if we need to consider ring capacitors etc. Any links to buy the stuff would also be appreciated. Cheers, Simon -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

TDM11B pinout
Hi Asterisk Community, I have a development with a TDM11B in it. I am trying to connect this to a exchange line as well as a UK telephone and are looking for some pinout information for the FXS port. Is it the centre 2 pins that at the tip and ring. I have been digging around the Digium site but cannot seem to pick up this info. Any help appreciated. Thanks -- Gary

[OT] Small SIP phones?
Hi. Does anyone know of any small SIP phones (and preferably have some experience of using them and happy to recommend them)? By 'small' I mean a single-piece phone, with dial buttons in the handset, so that it can be carried around easily in a laptop bag. Something like http://maplin.co.uk/images/Full/35493i0.jpg (which is unfortunately just a standard analogue telephone). Ideally I'd like something without a cradle, which can simply be put on a desk and answered by picking it up. Thanks, Antony. -- "Linux is going to be part of the future. It's going to be...

Do I need a ring capacitor to use TDM400P cards in UK
Hello I have played about with a TDM400 card and plugged in some standard analog phones. I am using the card in FXS mode - for analog extensions. I did notice that one of my phones did not ring and I wondered why. I later read in Paul Mahler's book VoIP Telephony with Asterisk that in his section on the TDM400 on page 127 he says "In the UK, you may need an adapter that provides a

Analog phone not ringing
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, I've got my developers kit from telappliant and got a machine up and running to become the house phone system. Most things are working now, such as incoming calls, call transfer, call parking, voicemail, etc. The one thing I can't do is make my analog phone ring! I can see the call coming in on the asterisk console and can then pick

Sweex PP200 650VA UPS - Success report
Dear Charles and team Just thought to share my findings getting a Sweex PP200 650VA UPS working with NUT (I didn't see this particular model listed on the HCL.) I picked-up one of these units quite cheaply at a Maplins store (before the chain closed-down) as a second UPS for my home/office - the first being an old Zigor Ebro650 - a long story for another post... NUT v2.7.4_7 is running as a package on pfSense 2.2.4 (based on FreeBSD 11.2-RELEASE-p10) with the following ups.conf: pollinterval=10 maxretry=10...

[UK SPECIFIC] DAHDI and a OpenVox Card
Hi, Built a new server at the weekend and install Asterisk 1.6.0.9 and IAX and SIP work great :) The one problem I am having is getting the OpenVox (TDM400 type card) to work. It is successfully identified using WCTDM kernel module and dahdi_scan picks it up just fine. The issue is when I try and setup dahdi_channel.conf as it fails everytime. When running asterisk -rvvvv I see the port pick

The Phantom Call..
My system seems to be generating a call on its own... Unfortuately I can't give much more information.. I have an X100P and an S100U.. My Modem and the X100P share a common line.. When I am on the internet (which is most of the day) * just sits there and does nothing (apart from when I am testing ideas for the dial plan), but at night when I am sleeping and the modem is not connected then
