Hello, I've got a centos 4.4 box and i'd like to make some rpms for it. My first task is to recompile an srpm removing some options to customize it. I tried rpmbuild, which worked on a fedora install, but that command wasn't available. What rpm do i have to install to make rpms? I've got rpmdb, rpm, and rpm-libs already installed. Well I got my 1st notebook install done. Since the video card takes 24Mb memory, installer would not go graphical (256-24=232). But I can now boot into character mode. an init 5 brings up X, but I am in the X environment, and I want to be in Gnome. What file am I to edit and what changes do I make? thanks.
