Multinomial Logit data arrangement
Dear all,
I am having a hard time attempting to do a multinomial logit modeling in R.
I am trying to analyze a dataset whereby there are 3 scenarios with 4
difference choice parameters. In particular ? I am having a hard time
arranging this into a .csv format. What sorts of headings should I put in
the column headers to reflect the variables and parameters for the total
number of choice made

R data import problems
Excuse me, if the following is FAQ or nonsense, I'm new to R (and the
list)!
After trying to import a textfile of 184897 Bytes, R (v0.63.0 on Linux
2.0.35/DLD 5.4) gives the following error message:
> read.table ("db.out")
Error: heap memory (1953 Kb) exhausted [needed 150 Kb more]

Try using a custom panel function, something like:
mypanelfn <- function(x,y,...)
{
panel.xyplot(x=x, y=y, ...)
grid.lines(c(0,1), unit(rep(1573...

Re: ESS & R data import problems
I have a similar question, I know about --vsize, but I use R under Emacs
using ESS. I know there is an easy way to call R from ESS with command
line options but I don't remember how. I can't find help on this in ESS
documentation or in R documentation.
Could someone please remind me how this is done.

grid.newpage()
Hi,
I'm trying to customize a window with 2 graphs.
I'm able to do the first one with something like this general example
par(mfrow=c(1,2),cex.axis=0.85,cex.lab=0.80,mai=c(1.3,1,0.5,0),las=3)
bplot<-barplot(bar.values,names.arg=cf.names,width=0.5,ylab="% Area held")
abline(h=0.3,lty=3,col="red")
abline(h=0.1,lty=3,col="blue")

[Johannes Huesing <tmi0m0@sp2.power.uni-essen.de>] Media coverage
Johannes Huesing sent a message to stat-lisp-news at stat.umn.edu
regarding an article in Linux-Magazin (German) on statistical software
for Linux. I enclose excerpts.
Can anyone summarize what was said about R in the article? If there
is a web site for the article I would appreciate learning of the URL.
I must admit, though, the my abilities in German are much less
impressive than the
