Desktop malfunction - Wine
So, this is the capture I got from running Wine alone on my desktop.
Fedora Core 3, Wine 20050111, without Winetools. This is using the
latest stable SMP kernel (don't have version number off the top of my
head, -740 or something like that). I may have left out numerous dubious
details. If so, please let me know...
FWIW, this is installed off the latest RPM.

well, "transparent" is even default... and I definitely can NOT
see a problem with the above.

SCIM malfunctioning on wine 1.1.15
I just downloaded wine 1.1.15, compiled and installed it on my centos 5.2 PC.
It's exciting to successfully migrate applications to linux. However, I found that SCIM sends strange codes as Chinese and Japanese characters to applications.
I need both Chinese and Japanese input methods very much.
Can anyone give me advice to correct this problem?

Wine 1.0 rc3 systray icon malfunction
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: RIPEMD160
Hi all,
I noticed that my Windows application's systray icon no longer docks
into my KDE's systray. (Windows application's systray icon shows up as a
standalone window now.) This occurred only after my upgrade from rc2 to
rc3 just now.
Windows application: uTorrent
Desktop environment: KDE 3.5.9 (Ubuntu Hardy)
I saw that there is a

bin/152154: script(1) -k malfunctions with certain shells (e.g. tcsh, bash, zsh)
http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=bin/152154
It has been suggested to me (by a committer) that I should raise the
issue of this PR here on these lists, because the problem described
within the PR remains a real problem, and despite my having proposed
something that seems to be a perfectly workable fix, no action has
been taken on this PR for some years now.

cli_originate malfunction after upgrade from 1.6.2.0 to 1.6.2.1-5
Hi all,
We encountered a strange phenomenon when trying to upgrade from 1.6.2.0 to
any newer releases:
We use the following cli command to feed a wave/mp3 file into an existing
conference on an other serve:
/opt/asterisk/sbin/asterisk -r -x "channel originate
Local/ConfGongAdmin at XY_Features extension ConfGongPlay at XY_Features"
The corresponding extensions.conf part looks like

timing_sleep malfunctioning under MinGW
Hi,
I have successfully gotten the libshout-2.0 release to compile under
gcc/MingGW ('gcc -mno-cygwin', version 'gcc (GCC) 3.3.1 (cygming
special)'), after applying Leigh Smith's patches as posted on this list
(http://www.xiph.org/archives/icecast-dev/0660.html). I have then
generated a dll and wrapped it in JNI using the stubs from libshout-java

plot(1:3) malfunctions with par(bg='transparent')
Hello, All:
Try the following:
par(bg='transparent')
plot(1:3)
I get two plots superimposed, one over twice the size it should
be, much of it outside the device region.
Thanks for all you do to make R such a useful tool. People all
over the world live better today, because R helps improve the
effectiveness of data analysts.

[LLVMdev] r57326 malfunctions?
Looking back through the commits to llvm-gcc-4.2/trunk/gcc/config/i386/darwin.h,
I see a total backout of format related warnings in r56923 followed by the reapplication of
r569065 with a fix (r56946)...

Cisco 7960 lockups - any experiences?
...ata.
The only thing that remains the same is the PC on one side, and the
switch port on the other. Previously, the PC attached to that switch
port had worked without any problems for quite some time before I put
the 7960 in place. Even if the problem is the PC or the switchport,
a failure or malfunction on one of those two components should not
cause the phone to malfunction. If it is a problem with the 7960
pushing traffic across the tiny built-in switch, then we have a real
problem on our hands that Cisco had better fix, pronto.
I would appreciate reports of others as to similar issues or...

will flash silently to indicate the call coming in.
* If the phone is malfunctioning anything can happen.
There is no indication that silent ring alert was set, nor is there any
current configuration setting that should cause this. That leaves three
bullet points for us to consider. I can follow up with one:
I will research this as thoroughly as I can to see if there are a...

[LLVMdev] Making LLVM safer in out-of-memory situations
...ng memory leaks in the compiler. The compiler performance is especially important since that we must compile generated functions which tend to be rather long - in the range of thousands of LOC per function.
To address these requirements we have developed a set of patches improving performance and malfunction safety of certain compiler passes and would be interested in contributing them at some point. Before proposing concrete changes, we would like to know what the general interest is with respect to making LLVM safer in out-of-memory situations.

Still, *any* testcase is better than no testcase :)

[LLVMdev] ARMLoadStoreOptimizer bug
...it in the first place.
Here's how I found the bug:
1) Stage 1: Compile LLVM with build/host x86, target ARM.
2) Stage 2: Cross-compile LLVM with host ARM, target ARM, using the stage 1
Clang/LLVM.
3) Use the stage 2 LLVM (in an ARM emulator) to compile an application, Foo.
4) Run Foo.
5) Foo malfunctions.
To find the bug, I had to do the following:
1) Notice that Foo does not malfunction when compiled using the stage 1
LLVM.
2) Diff between Foo.s generated by stage 1 LLVM and stage 2 LLVM. This made
it obvious which instructions in Foo.s were causing the malfunction.
3) Determine why the stage 2...

Newbie: LDA Isn't Logging
Hi,
I'm a newbie having some trouble getting deliver to log anything. Related to this, there are no return values unless the -d is missing. I'm using LDAP to store virtual domain and user account information.
Test #1: /usr/lib/dovecot/deliver -e -f mpapet at yahoo.com -d zed at mailswansong.dom < bad.mail
Expected result: supposed to fail, there's no zed account via ldap lookup
