bwplot stats question
Hi List,
Just wondering where the documentation exists for the statistics which
makeup the bwplot.
I'm guessing that if R is like similar products that the graph is
constructed as
The median is the filled circle. The box surrounding the filled circle
depicts the 25th and 75th quartile. The range of values is given by the
dotted lines (?whiskers?) outside of each box, and pos...

Won''t be at RubyConf
Hi all
Sorry folks, I won''t be at RubyConf this year. I burned up the travel
budget with a trip to Thailand, a makeup trip to Florida, and I''m headed
to Florida again this Christmas.
At least this gives me more time to work on Wuby. :)

PST Rsync Issues
...file is
transferred. There are other files on this system that rsync more typically,
so I'm fairly certain this isn't a switch or command error on the calling
end. I have also verified that the PST is closed at the time of backup.
I'm curious if PSTs are just un-rsyncable due to their makeup or if there is
something I can do to pare down this transfer and subsequent storage.
Any tips or ideas are welcome.
Thanks,
Jon

Best practices in developing package: From a single file
...ent with using that for
> new projects.
>
You don't have to put the Rmarkdown in the .R file of the function, there
are ways to keep them in separate files. But keeping them in the same file
does make it easier for Rmarkdown to eg generate the correct usage section
and use the correct Rd makeup etc. At least that's my understanding of it.
Hadley will hopefully correct me if I'm wrong. I haven't checked all the
options and possibilities yet in the latest iterations of the package.
Cheers

Prevent multiple sip registrations
Hi all,
Is there anyway i can prevent multiple sip registrations from different IPs
using single username in asterisk. Does asterisk provide any aid in this
respect? As far as my knowledge is concerned i dont think there is any
support for this in asterisk, so i think i'll have to makeup a script which
sniffs sip packets coming for asterisk and detect for multiple register
requests coming from different IPs for the same username. Can anybody help?

[LLVMdev] [RFC] Add warning capabilities in LLVM.
...consequence of this will be to sort out the layering
issues, etc. Another consequence will be a strong chance of finding general
purpose APIs in LLVM that can serve many purposes, not just a warning.
Consider JITs and other systems that might benefit from having good APIs
for querying the size and makeup (at a high level) of a generated function.
A nice side-effect is that it simplifies the complexity involved for simple
warnings -- now it merely is the complexity of exposing the commensurately
simple API in LLVM. If instead we go the route of threading a FE interface

Invalid or unsupported executable format, or is it a reiserfs problem?
Our newly build xen kernel does not boot. The error message is : Invalid
or unsupported executable format.
I have build xen from the xen-2.0.4 source (make world, make install) on
a debian sarge system.
I have not changed any of the kernel configurations, I did make an
initrd image.
The entry in my menu.lst is :

[LLVMdev] get the value of a Constant in LLVM IR
...tFP constants but how
could i get the value of a ConstantArray?
The
http://llvm.org/docs/ProgrammersManual.html#the-constant-class-and-subclasses
says:
ConstantArray : This represents a constant array.
const std::vector<Use> &getValues() const: Returns a vector of component
constants that makeup this array.
But i cannot find this method, i think that it is not implemented in the
3.3 version.
There is the method 'Value::print()' but this gives me also the type which
is not what i want.
I found also the 'static void WriteConstantInternal()' method in
llvm/lib/IR/AsmWriter.cpp...

NFS performance issue
Hi!
I searched the web for hours, trying to solve the NFS/ZFS low performance issue on my just setup OSOL box (snv134). The problem is discussed in many threads but I''ve found no solution.
On a nfs shared volume, I get write performance of 3,5M/sec (!!) read performance is about 50M/sec which is ok but on a GBit network, more should be possible, since the servers disk performance

Pruning a dendrogram based on frequencies
Hi Franklin,
plot.dendrite was not designed to be pruned. I have had a look at the
problem, and I may be able to suggest a way to drop values in the
"dendrite" object that is the input to plot.dendrite. I'll let you
know.

Using queue app with external members/destinations
Hi guys
I've got a need to do some call queueing, with the slightly unusual caveat
that the destination for the calls is not a phone or group of phones
connected to my local asterisk box, but an "external" PSTN number.
Can I setup a queue in asterisk and make the queue "member" an external
address like SIP/5551234@my.pstn.gateway?
There will be a smaller number of PSTN

I have currently following the instructions at-

I am using a Cisco 877 router with an ADSL2+ connection.
My upstream bandwidth is around 1Mbps, and my downstream around 4-5Mbps.
I have two PSTN side interfaces - atm0 and dialer0 (dialer0 is where the ISP
details are configured and the interface that the WAN side IP is applied on)
Now which

Creation of a new data frame
Dear all,
I have a data frame of 18556 rows and 19 columns and wish to create a new grid from these data of dimensions 360 rows and 720 columns.
The existing data frame is set up so that every 38 rows makes up one row of the new data frame, with 2 NA values at the end of each 'block' that should be removed before being inserted into the new grid.
So to be clear, row 1 of the new data

Is this echo problem down to IP Phone hardware?
Hello
I have a Grandstream GXP2000 with latest firmware. When I use it holding the handpiece I don't hear any echo - neither does other end. However, if I use it handsfree, the other end notices echo when they speak - ie their voice is echoy. I hear their voice being a bit echoy.
Is this purely down to the IP Phone? Is there anything I can do about it? I considered buying a more
