The fix is a bit complicated. Here's my

mail-storage.c:2222:mailbox_copy assertion failed: (!ctx->unfinished)
Hi, I see a lot of crashes in my syslog lately. Specifically a sequence of errors exactly like this (only the timestamp differs). > Nov 10 21:29:53 khitomer dovecot: imap-login: Login: user=<user at hostname>, method=PLAIN, rip=XXXX, lip=YYYY, mpid=ZZZZ, TLS, session=<TTTT> > Nov 10 21:29:53 khitomer dovecot: imap(user at hostname): Panic: file mail-storage.c: line 2222

Upgrade Too 1.2.11 Broke Everything
Good Day. I have had dovecot working successfully for years now, however after a system update , dovecot refused to start up complaing that im not using absolute paths. It took a bit of hacking to get it working again as can be seen by the sql query, however now imap doesn't work anymore because of that change. Im lost!! dovecot --version 1.2.11 dovecot -n # 1.2.11:

2.2.12: Panic: file mail-index.c: line 380 (mail_index_keywords_unref): assertion failed: (keywords->refcount > 0)
I upgraded 2.1 -> 2.2 something like a week ago because I needed INDEXPVT. Not sure if this crash started immediately or not, noticed it today looking at journalctl. Backtrace http://bpaste.net/raw/181944/ and pasted below. This seems to crash on every IMAP connection made, so any ideas for a possible client-level workaround are quite welcome until dovecot code improves here. root at

Panic
(I'm not subscribed, please keep me CC'd) Hi, since a few months I'm experiencing repeated dovecot crashes. I mostly see them in the logs, I haven't had any users complain, so I haven't looked closely until now. I was originally using an older version fro mDebian and hoped that a newer future version would already fix this, but I just upgraded to version 1:2.2.32-2 from

Hi, I'm trying to use dsync to convert sdbox + sis mailboxes to mbox (mbox is chosen here to "re-attach" the attachments to their original place) # dsync -Dv -u $LOGIN -o "mail_location=sdbox:/zfspool/clone_srv_mail/$LOGIN" -o "mail_attachment_dir=/zfspool/clone_srv_attachments" backup

dovecot 2.2.13 core dump (signal 11)
We just upgraded from 2.1.16 to 2.2.13. One user is experiencing problems when using the shared namespace. Specifically it happens when opening/reading a message and when deleting messages. These functions work for other users. So far, this appears to be only affecting one user. The shared folder is a local ext4 file system and utilizes acls # 2.2.13:

Dovecot 2.1.9 shared folder deletion causes fault
Hey all, I'm getting a fault in dovecot (see below) using shared folders. I have a mailbox that receives new mail (Account X/INBOX). Another account (Account A) has access to the other account (Account X/INBOX) with ACL below. The ACL directory (.DEFAULT) contains: user=AccountA lrwst I removed a test email from Account A/INBOX, which is supposed to remove the email from Account X/INBOX. A

imap segfaults when using antispam plugin, and moving mail to an 'unsure' folder.
I put up a question on serverfault first, which has the details, including a stack trace: http://serverfault.com/questions/713687/dovecot-antispam-error-storing-mail . Details also copied below. Is this a known bug? If I built dovecot from source rather than using the Ubuntu 14.04 packages, would I expect that to help? Are there any configuration details that might be relevant? (dovecot -n

index synchronization during local delivery
Hi there, Now our system will take dovecot as the whole imap back end, and keep the LDA of ours, But our system has our own UID generation mechanism (in dovecot it's incremental from 1), which will be done while local delivery, So when local deliveries, it will first generate the UID, move the mail into maildir, then synchronize the mailbox index, which is part of dovecot LDA does. How to make dovecot-lda/deliver mark a message as seen
Hello everybody, I am using dovecot 2.0.13 and have a special case here in which I want a mail that is delivered locally with dovecot-lda to be marked as "seen". In dovecot 1.1.7 I succeeded to achive this, by modifing deliver.c so that upon adding a -S switch to the command arguments, the flag MAIL_SEEN was added to the call of mailbox_copy(). This seemed to work pretty good.

Panic on alway_bcc mail with attachment while using sdbox
I do always get a panic on service lmtp, while receiving a mail by postfix through always_bcc, containing an attachment. If the bcc recipient would be supplied by a small delay, I would say that the panic wouldn't occur, but I don't know how to verify this. dovecot is configured with 'mail_attachment_dir' and the public namespace location is sdbox dovecot log: Aug 6 14:18:02
