Greetings. I am running wine on Kubuntu (KDE Ubuntu- same thing) Dapper Drake and I'v successfully installed 2 Windows 98 programs. They run fine until they give me a message saying that they can't find the CD to run off of, and tell me to insert it. This means I can't run the games, because they can only run off the CD. i used to use application, called RAdmin, with earlier versions of wine (prior 0.9.11). it works pretty well with oprtion Desktop="1024x768". but now in winecfg this option is grayed out and setting HKCU/Sofware/Wine/AppDefaults/radmin.exe/X11 Driver/Desktop registry key to "1024x768" doesn't work. and without this option keyboard doesn't work on remote hosts. --

I've researched on Google, Wine's wikki and Wine's forum, but I did not find how exactly does Wine to extract the icons from the exe binaries. The only thing that I've found are mentions to third party programs, but anything about Wine itself. May anyone bring some light about the subject? Thanks.

I'd like read write MS OLE structured storage files on the Mac. Does Wine provide an API to achieve that? I know the format of the file. Thanks -Attila

i am running flashfxp under wine now a while, recently i upgraded to kubuntu 8.04 and installed wine 0.9.60. I discovered that then there is no hide button anymore in FlashFXP. Onbly 2 Buttons to the left, the close and the maximize button. I then re-installed 0.9.59 and with that i get again the minimse button back, unfortunaly this version has a bug not displaying the program in the taskbar.

Your /media/sata1 partition is probably mounted noexec. If that is a Windows partition, you should install World of Warcraft to your Linux account by using Wine to run the installer. Changing the mount options for that partition will get you past this error, but you are likely to have other problems if you run programs from a windows filesystem and do not install them in Wine.
